I was in Warsaw at the time this was posted. The pride and history there permeates into every interaction unlike anywhere I have been. The Polish people have a lot to be proud of and possess a realistic view of what life is and what it can unfortunately devolve into.

What you said at the beginning was very nice of you. Cause it's true, that the news can portray us as overly nationalistic and seeing someone with a different perspective trying to grasp it and explain it really is moving. I was born in Warsaw, so was my father and my grandmother fought in the Warsaw Uprising and I was raised with all that in mind. My dad likes to tell us how he used to play in the ruins of Zamek Królewski as a child, because it wasn't rebuilt yet. So I guess it is a specific reality that we grew up in. To be honest I never even thought of it that way. So thank you for being so understanding. And thanks for this whole video I really liked it.

Dzień dobry Ryan , I was in Warsaw 2 November 2017 - 22 December 2017 I didn’t want to return to the USA except it was Christmas and I wanted to spend it with my mother in Nashville ❤️💪🏻🇵🇱💪🏻❤️ I literally fell in love with Poland and polish people in general. Like all people unfortunately not every Polish person is a good person, but the vast majority are truly incredible, kind, generous, strong and Highly Intelligent people I’m looking to buy an apartment or home in Warsaw, Poznań or Kraków most to have a home outside of Tennessee/ USA 🇺🇸 I want to have a home in the amazing country of Poland and you’re exactly right Polish people should remember the extreme trauma suffered by their recent history. I can’t wait to join the March on 11, November to celebrate Poland’s Independence & restoration of Poland's sovereignty you do an incredible job of conveying the mood and feel of Warsaw .. your love and passion for Poland is genuine & beautiful.

Great video again Ryan. Have seen your past ones about the physical locations that are such close touch stones to the past. Americans don’t have this kind of physical history living among them. We have statues to remind us of our past. Maybe the fact that there is such a real reminder about the cost of their freedom that Poles cherish their scars. To Americans wars are fought in distant lands while we sleep safe in our beds, no one has eradicated a city, or dropped bombs on our neighborhoods and then had to rebuild those structures. The 9/11 disaster is the closest recent event I could imagine that would have the same emotional impact looking at our physical scars. When your freedom has no tangible cost to you, you take it for granted. That is the saddest thing I can imagine. To take your liberties and freedom for granted with such complete oblivious disdain that you dishonor those who died and bled for that same freedom is shameful. We can learn a lot from Poland. I hope more people open their eyes. Great job.

Thank you for this video. It amazes me how big impression does Polish history make on you and how deeply you are trying to understand the way we feel about it. At the beginning you said very important things about how lively these reminiscences are for us. My generation (born in 90's) have grandparents who remember WWII, which makes you realize how recent were these events and how painful they still are. I think you are doing a great job to help foreigners understand Poland. For example maybe some of them will think twice before accusing Polish nation of antisemitism or fascism. Of course, there are nationalists in Poland, like in every other country, there are people with extremal views. That's how democracy works. However, you should know that members of Polish nationalist movements were also murdered during WWII, tortured in concentration camps for fighting with Germans. And despite anti-Jewish views, they were helping Jews and saving their lives. Today these organizations are called nazi by liberal media.
