He sacrificed the lives of the Cuban exiles who had been trained by Americans and had been prepared for an invasion of Cuba. In the end, JFK was responsible for the failure of the invasion and the deaths of many Cuban men. Keep in mind that it was the CIA that had recruited anti-Castro Cuban exiles in the Miami area.

I wish this never happened. I wish JFK got his full 2 terms. Im only going to be 24 this year and maybe i am wrong but i cant help but feel like this. To me JFK was such a big figure and so iconic. It's not unusual for one man to change the course of history by being a lone assassination. Because every other presidential assassination has been pulled off by one person and every attempted assassination that have all failed were commited by just one person. So LHO killing Kennedy isn't an anomaly by any means and more... if the CIA were sloppy and were an abject failure in planning and pulling off the Bay of Pigs, there is no way they could have orchestrated a high profile assassination in their home country, with all the variables and people you would need to account for (or pay off to keep quiet) if you believe that theory of his assassination (there are many). The more you look into his assassination from non-conspiratorial sources and instead from historical sources, the less his assassination is that much of a mystery.
