Follow a cab forward pulling a longish train all the way across the Bear Creek & South Jackson from Browning (westmost station) to South Jackson (eastmost station), crossing creeks, climbing mountains, passing through towns and two yards. Great scenery and warts, this video shows it all.
It's been 10 years since the BC&SJ 10th Anniversary layout tour appeared in the April 2014 Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine. View the companion video on KZbin at
• Bear Creek & South Jac...
A LOT has changed on the layout since then.
The train passes through all modeled mainline locations: Browning, Junction City, Bear Creek, Oakhill, Mill Bend, and South Jackson.
The layout is set in western Oregon in 1952. Visible mainline is 5 scale miles plus 3 branchlines (another 2 miles) and 3 staging yard areas. It's been under construction for 20 years, but isn't even close to done yet.
Warning! The credit roll at the end gets a bit silly...
I hope you enjoy the ride!
