Dear pastor doug, as you are telling your congregation that if they, today, accept that theyre poor in spirit, they can receive the kingdom of heaven, I feel tears in my heart. It is such a simple thing but so many just don't get it. Your words, of Jesus words, are so welcome to my ears & heart. Thank you so much

Singing hymns when you have encountered rude drivers is an amazing cure and you feel happy instead of cross. It takes a while but practice makes perfect. This came as a result of praying for help in coping with rude or hopeless drivers. Besides, none of us is perfect and we all make mistakes or misjudge things.🐫💐

Happy Sabbath. I love Doug's teaching style. It's conversational, like you're sitting with an old friend. I try not to judge preachers, but sometimes the repetitions of words, banging on the rostrum, hint of arrogance in trying to correct but it feels like condemning the congregation......it can be too much. My mom was just telling me to study the beatitudes, and this is a great lesson on them. God bless and Happy Sabbath.

Blessed are those with peaceful hearts for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are you when you hunger and thirst for goodness and for contact with the Father within you, because then you will surely be filled up a hundred times over. Blessed are you when you are attacked and robbed because you will see God-in-action when you stand still in perfect trust and see deliverance taking place. Blessed are you when you are caught up in conflict, yet you can still care about your fellow man and be the peace maker. You carry the Love in your heart which is of the Father and you are truly a child of the Father. Blessed are you when you have been deeply wronged by another yet can forgive and can show mercy, abstaining from seeking justice or the means to persecute him. You put yourself directly in harmony with the Love which is God-active-within you and even so will you be spared in times of trouble. Most blessed of all are the pure in heart, for such as these have rid themselves of all anger, hatred, vindictiveness, unkindness, envy, hardness of heart and stand before the world as Love-made-visible. They will know the Reality of God and they will know the Reality is the Father within them.

I agree with Pastor Doug, blessed is said 9 times. I wasn't reading along as much as I was counting on my fingers everytime he said "blessed are..." and this happened 9 times. Why would the last 2 not count!?! They sound just like all the previous 7 blesseds and made complete sense as being part of the beatitudes. I watch Pastor Doug's videos over sometimes and I find different things to comment on. I'm sorry I'm making more than one comment!

Pastor Doug is an awesome man and Pastor. I know that his brother said that he was smart and good looking but sick and that Doug wasn't good looking and dumb. However, someone with the humor he has he has to be very intelligent! I've heard Pastor Doug say that the eye of a needle 🪡 is what we would call it today, but back in ancient times, it was a narrow opening in the wall of a city just big enough for a person to fit through. If the city was being attacked, two men could defend the "needle" because since only one person at a time could come through, they could cut down each person coming through one at a time. Thus, a camel 🐫 would not be able to fit through. I think he might have said this, too, though.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] - (AMPLIFIED version) NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus.

Saying God bless you comes from superstitious, and when someone sneezed, they thought that for that split second, your soul left your body and that the devil could enter into your body so they started saying God bless you so the devil wouldn't enter into your body. Funny but true, putting salt over your shoulder has to do with the devil too

Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5 The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1 The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13 and The Word God made flesh John 1:14. He is our example of The Trinity. He is The Law that hung on the cross and The Law that is written in the heart. Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. With obedience to The Father in Deut.6:8-9, The Father anoints us with His Word, putting us in His Son, The Holy Spirit. Build up the body of Christ by 'putting on' The Lord. Cling to, dwell in the law (Ten Commandments) and testimony (Sermon on the Mount). We know His voice. His words are spirit and they are life. Hear Him. Prepare for your future and the life of your loved ones. As Paul tells us, "put on Jesus." Cling to, dwell in the Truth.

Pastor Doug, that person who cut you off, was in a hurry, and had no right to do that, may have had an emergency. Maybe his wife just went into labor, maybe their child got hurt at school, maybe there was an ill person in that car who needed immediate medical attention.. Maybe that person needed that position in traffic more than you did.. Yes our first reaction is usually one of selfishness, but we should not judge that person's motives, but be generous and thoughtful to them.. Is it that important that that person may have denied us 3 seconds of time? If we are saved, we have an endless eternity of time.. Patient and long suffering we should be, as Christ is also.. Our sinful selfish nature has a way of coming out before our Christ like nature calms us, and makes us re-think our attitude..

The BIBLE is always the BREAD of life, the LIVING word..... the bone, the marrow and the muscle... The purpode of the SOP was not for PROVING anything to anyone.... it was to be a guide to the earnest bible reader.... The spirit of prophesy is for GUIDING the mind to understand the scripture and amplify the BIBLE PERSPECTIVE.... @@seventhfleetmartin6695 not that I really cared to reply to your long dissertation, or skewed viewpoint. Since you wanted to interact I figured I'd say hello to my dear brother. I'm fully aware of what the spirit of Prophecy is all about, I study it. There are a lot of newcomers to the faith that don't understand the things that Pastor Doug used to preach. He got away from preaching them because he's afraid of persecution. He's not trying to rock the boat. There is a strong difference between the man today and the man of yesterday who is named Pastor Doug. He was the very first pastor of The Seventh-Day Adventist faith that I come to know and how he has changed. I'm not judging my brother, I'm simply stating that he doesn't preach the fire he used to and like sister white said many candles will blow out or flicker out near the time of persecution.
