This is a minor remix of The Beatles' 'Come Together,' sourced from the '1' album version. I believe the small modifications I have made result in a major 'never heard before' listen.
Most noticeably, I have isolated and separated Paul's vocal from John's vocal which occupied the same space. McCartney's brief vocal contribution can now be heard more prominently, revealing a more 'swampy' and 'gritty' feel, especially with his rare lower-pitched harmony.
In this new mix, the drums are more centered, with the kick drum dead center throughout the entire song. The drums still retain a stereo spread, allowing them to balance better within the guitar in the left channel and the keyboard in the right channel for a more natural feel. This also improves the clarity of the guitars and keyboard, which were competing with the lower end of the drums in other versions.
My remixes, including this one, always strive to stay true to the original. Some listeners who are less familiar with the song might not notice the differences, but many will hear the changes immediately! I haven't added anything that wasn't part of the original recording and have not used any pseudo-type acoustics that drain energy from the recording. It is strictly an isolation de-mixing of the vocal and instruments and a remixing of those elements in a style common to the era of the original.
Thanks for listening!
