What can one say about the genius of Paul McCartney that hasn’t been said in a million different ways? The English language doesn’t have the words to describe the brilliance of these four guys who were so young when they created so many masterpieces. Ok! I’ll shut up now! ……I lied. Greatest band on the planet. RIP John and George. 😇😇

#Debbie Chang very well worded. The songs written by two young men who became entwined as one songwriting genius. The Beatles have and will always be the best band EVER. I was born in 1957. One of my older sisters was very into them. She is 5 years older. I have 4 siblings 3 older, 1 younger. There was always music in our home. My mom loved show tunes, dad was into Frank Sinatra and big bands. My oldest sister by 9 years was into The Rolling Stones, brother into The Ventures.I was 13 in 1970 and was so blessed to have grown up during that time, musically.

I am like you...I love too deeply. The Long and Winding Road always makes me cry, because I got left after 24 years of marriage, ( and 5 years BEFORE that ) and was never given a reason why. This song brings up how it felt when he left, even up to today....it never goes away. I have never stopped loving him, even though he passed away 6 years ago. It's a beautiful but sad song. THANK you for reacting to these beautiful Beatle songs, both sung by Paul McCartney, my favorite Beatle. I have been a fan since the beginning when I was 16/17 in 1964.

I have two great Beatles songs written by Paul McCartney for you to react to. They are both about heartbreak or a relationship gone bad. And the two songs are For No One and The Night Before. I think it would be a great reaction to do those two songs together. I really hope that you do it. If anyone agrees with me that sees his comment please click like. Thank you.

One morning, this song came on the radio. When it was finished, the disc jockey announced the end of the Beatles. So, memorable. A dark day for music. This song almost didn't get released. It was part of the 'Get Back' sessions and the band members weren't getting along. They were so disappointed with the songs produced during these sessions that they basically put them on a shelf. John finally got Phil Spector to try and cobble something together. I feel like he did a really good job with 'The Long And Winding Road'. Paul did not and was infuriated that he wasn't contacted about it. Oddly enough, when Paul plays this is concert he kind of adheres to Spector's arrangements. An original version does appear on the album 'Let It Be - Naked' but, to me, sounds void and a bit bipolar. 'Here There And Everywhere' was likely written about Jane Asher, Paul's girlfriend at the time. John always said that this was one of his favorites from Paul.

Shows what an egotistical ass Mr.Lennon could be. I am sure Paul thought many of John's songs were turds too. I believe John said For No One was a good one. So that is two. What a magnanimous pal.

To his face, but Lennon said good things about McCartney songs in interviews. For example, he called All My Loving a damn fine piece of writing (or something like that.)

React to the Long and Winding Road Naked, it's more raw more true emotion and the way Paul McCartney intended it to be. Phil Spector totally overproduced it.

This version of The Long and Winding Road is horrible next to the original film version. The tapes were given to Phil Spector to do the final production work on. He added the strings, horns and chorus and destroyed a beautiful song. Give a listen to the version on the Let It Be "Naked" CD. I hope you find Here, There and Everywhere to be a more beautiful song. Carry On!!
