33:53 THANK YOU JOHN! Jesus, I wish people would realize that as beloved as The Beatles were, all good things must come to an end, they grew up and wanted to do their own thing and they already gave SO MUCH to the world, they didn’t owe us anymore of their lives!!!

It’s kind of John to highlight Beatle-wives, he even highlights his ex wife

"I just warn any kids coming into the business, don't sign anything, unless the lawyer's your brother - keep it in the family.," said John. How ironic, considering John's own recent signing of Klein and his rejection of Paul's in-laws.

What do the Eastmans, in anyway, have to do with John, George and Ringo?
@strathman7501 Жыл бұрын
@@jk4675 Precisely. John Lennon 1974, after having got shot of Klein: "Well, let's just say that maybe Paul was right." If they'd gone with the Eastmans and kept it in the Beatles "family" (don't be too literal-minded here, families are more than blood and genetics) maybe a lot of things could have been different.

@@jk4675Paul's father-in-law was a lawyer, Paul wanted him to take acer from Alan Kllrin who had defrauded them, But the band didn't want to, They got deeper into financial problems, Later regretted not taking Paul's advice, Due to the financial issues at Apple, The Beatles band had to be dissolved. The strings were cut. It was all very complicated.

One must remember though, Paul gladly signed the increased royalty rate and favorable distribution arrangement that Klein secured for The Beatles in September of 1969.

Good interviews. Is the pitch shifted down a little at least on John's?

@@ManicMovesDrowsyDreams With respect I think your original notion of the tape being stretched/old is the answer, Here is an interview with John and Yoko 11 years after this one and his voice is actually higher. I also pitched this one up to see for myself and age/stretching is definitely the answer. Thanks so much for posting these by the way. : )
@spockboy3 жыл бұрын
It is definitely lower due to tape stretch perhaps. Even Yoko's voice is on a lower register. I have downloaded it and pitched it up a bit and it sounds right. Still wonderful to have these interviews posted!

hey, john's interview is not 1969. it's October 1971, he says that paul has a new band, meaning Wings
@drummer783 ай бұрын
There actually two separate interviews. The first one was done in early 1970 as he is referencing Michael X and the Hanratty case. Also he is mentioning the Beatles in the present tense and he is also discussing his recent trip to Denmark where he visited with Yoko in early 1970 to meet with Tony Cox (Yoko’s ex). Lennon’s concerns in this interview are his peace campaign and “.growing his hair for peace”. This interview concludes around 24:25 minute mark. The next Lennon interview is 1971 era.

He had the biggest ego and was a hypocrite. He talked about no possessions but they built up more possessions than most people can dream of. When he left McCartney and the Beatles it was a long ego trip for them both. Without McCartney he would not have risen to the heights he did.
