What a wonderful reaction DORCA. Thank you. It is sad to accept that in just 8 months after this rooftop performance The BEATLES, the Greatest Band the world will ever know, broke up. After 7 years, 11 Studio Albums, Two EP length Soundtracks and 22 British singles, the four Beatles would never be in the same room together again. The "What if's" are almost unbearable to ponder. A legendary performance, this all in all 45-minute long "rooftop concert" was held for the Beatles film "Let it be" on a cold day in January 1969 on the roof of the Beatles studio in London's Saville Row, and was the Fab Four's last public appearance. After the last LP, Abbey Road, which was recorded in the following months and is considered a masterpiece, the Beatles split up unofficially after various disputes and in April 1970 Paul McCartney, the singer of I've got a feeling (and arguably the most successful musician of all time) officially announced the split.
