George definitely had the most difficult part in this song. He pulled it off beautifully. One of my favorites, hands down.

The low parts are always tough. It's much easier to hear (in your head while harmonizing) the higher part - at least for me it is. Their voices blended so well.

Their harmonies are not better than the Beach Boys. Nobody could touch the Beach Boys back then as far as vocal harmonies. Don't get me wrong, the Beatles have always been my favorite band since the 60s, and they do have great harmonies, but those California boys were top-notch.

@@MrAschiff You really believe that Ringo's voice is crucial to the Beatles' sound? If Ringo had never sung a song and just played drums, do you honestly think the Beatles sound would have been different?
@MrAschiff5 ай бұрын
@@braemtes23 That wasn't my point. You're emphasizing Paul's voice over the others, namely John and George. John's voice was just as crucial to the Beatles' sound. When the three of them harmonized. it was magic. Paul wasn't the MVP vocally. You're obviously a Paul fan and like him over the others. I think John had the best voice and so did George Martin. Martin said it in the Complete Beatles, I, which was released in the 1980s. Maybe they could have gotten away with Ringo not singing, but he could carry a tune; he just had a nasal voice. John made a mistake by letting Ringo sing Good Night.
@braemtes235 ай бұрын
@@MrAschiff I watch a huge number of Beatles' videos and read different people commenting on how John had the best voice or how George had the best voice and no-one ever tells them they are biased and are obviously a John/George fan. Only when one states in their opinion Paul had the best voice are they accused of lacking objectivity. I never stated that John's voice was not crucial, only that the uniqueness of Paul's voice (John and George had similar voices, John's was better though) adds something to the Beatles that other bands did not have.

This is all my biased opinion here - not the truth just my truth mind you …Having been the third add on harmony many times - you just fill the missing chords and have to jump around if required. Much harder if you are doing it live spontaneously in. a studio you can rehearse it- however they often cut several tracks a day which is kind of amazing - . It’s actually easier with simple instrumentation as all the extra tracks now kind of add noise to the process - Give me the Beatles or the 2 everly brothers and one guitar anytime
