Paul McCartney at his best! This film footage is from the Let It Be sessions from 1969. So great to see them all together and enjoying playing together. The Black gentleman is the late, great Billy Preston. He is affectionately referred to as "the fifth Beatle". ☮☮

the Beatle never disappoint... the album Abbey Road has a famous medley of several songs that run in a row and is meant to be listened to uninterrupted.... it starts with the song "You Never Give Me Your Money" and runs to the end of the album... I predict you will really like it

"Oh! Darling" evokes the sounds of rock and roll and rhythm and blues from the fifties. The video is made from film that was shot for a documentary about their last album that went unused until the last few years. You have been watching mostly videos from the early years of The Beatles. This is from their last year together as a band. The two women they keep showing are Linda Eastman-McCartney and Yoko Ono. At the end, you can hear John Lennon announce the finalization of Yoko's divorce from her first husband and that leaves them excited because it means they can now get married. And that would seemingly be a completely happy story, but Yoko's first husband took their daughter and ran away and joined a cult and Yoko wouldn't see her again for thirty years. Also, as PontiacGTO noted, the second side of their Abbey Road album features an extended medley of 8 songs that runs 16 minutes. So while the temptation might be to take each song separately, they are meant to be listened to one after the other immediately because many of them lead directly into the next song after. So when you react to them, be sure to react to them all together, one after the other, for greatest effect. The Beatles medley is one of the top musical compositions of the 20th century and should not be skipped. In the old days of vinyl records listening to the medley was easy because it was simply a matter of playing side two of the album. But these days, with everything digitized, the tracks tend to get chopped up so that they no longer flow together in quite they same way as they used to do.
