Paul has such class. To be questioned and pestered about one of his closest friends after he died and to still be kind to the reporters and photographers and have the patience to answer their questions. After watching Get Back I think he always had a certain level headedness that was tempered with patience and kindness. I respect him a lot.

Poor Ringo, I never saw him crying before but you could really see that the relationship between him and George were as strong as they were real brothers. It always makes me sad to see the old footage, like George helping Ringo in the Let It Be Session for "Octupus's Garden" or writing and gifting songs for him like "It Don't Come Easy" which would eventually become a no. 1 hit. Ringo really loved him.

@TheNedH
@TheNedH Жыл бұрын
Ringo is the credited writer of "It Don't Come Easy" but George did lend a hand. All three of the other Beatles supported and aided Ringo's career, and he helped theirs. In many ways, Ringo was the glue of that group and he loved each of them like a brother, and showed up for each of them in key personal and professional moments. I'll always love Ringo's big heart and the way that the others just embraced him. He really is and was a terrific drummer, but as John put it, "he was a great Beatle". And the 4 Beatles were VERY tight-knit, more than any other band I can think of, other than perhaps a band that includes family (and Lord knows many of those don't get along half as well as the Lads did).

I grew up in Liverpool. I was 5 years old when The Beatles came on the scene, but I'd heard people talking about them and, even now, I remember that there was a strange vibration spreading around the city, some kind of sense of expectation. I'd just started listening to music, via my parents records. Dad had a load of classical stuff and mum had more up beat stuff. I loved all of it. Then there were pictures on the news and I recognised the places I was seeing on TV. Within just a few weeks EVERYBODY was talking about them, they were everywhere. The girls were arguing over who was the best looking, the "bring back Pete" movement was fading and the music was like nothing else. Fab days growing up in Liverpool then. Years later I attended The Liverpool Institute High school For Boys, which had been Paul and George's old school. After leaving school, I joined a band because I wanted to sing, we were rehearsing in The Casbah, in the same room The Beatles had used. Most of us in Liverpool wanted to be in a band, and that's still the case now. Being left-handed and playing guitar struck a chord with me (sorry about the pun!). Most families in Liverpool had an instrument in the house, a piano, guitar, banjo, or even just a pair of spoons or a comb and paper. That had been the case for years before The Beatles came on the scene, so music was the soundtrack for everybody back then, so The Beatles really were just four lads from down the road. George died on my birthday.

These videos get to me so deep. You can't help to shed a tear when you hear Paul and Ringo talk about their brothers John and George and if you have gonz to one of their concerts, when they make a reference to them ... oh god ... it's just so emotional. We all love and cherish George, we all love and cherish John and we are so lucky to see and hear Paul and Ringo. Let's continue to cherish them everytime we have any news from them. Peace and love to you all.

It's easy to forget, Paul and George were mates in grade school long before anyone ever even thought about joining a band. They were just friends on a school bus at 12-13 years old. Just like any of the other kids in town.

My dad and mom were in theye 20s in 1980 when John Lennon died my dad was 23 years old after his birthday December 5th and my mom was 21 when he died and they were shocked and sad when he died . George Harrison my dad said he was such a remarkable man, loved music , but the drugs was his real issue. But he came clean , but after he died 21 years ago it really broke his heart . I get so sick of reading or hearing comments like “oh John despised Paul, Paul resented John, George didn’t really care for Paul, blah blah blah”. Bottom line is this, the four of them were brothers, bound together by a decade+ of awesome and incredible experiences. They loved each other immensely! Period. JMO
@olskzeri782

No, they didn't love each other. Because it is just a myth that they were four from start to finish. They were five in total: John, Paul, George, Ringo and last member in: William. George loved the real Paul, who he wrote a tribute to: While my guitar gently weeps. George could'nt stand the ego of William.
