Now you can also listen to the A-side Hey Jude: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoawgGqGqr1sg5I This is a 1972 Mexican re-pressing of the 1968 single "Hey Jude / Revolution" My LP60X (equiped with a 3600L cartridge) isn't the best, but you can still enjoy the way this record was intended to sound like The video quality is not so good because I filmed this with a Huawei Mate 20 Lite in the 60 fps setting. The noise and resolution are way worse than if I had filmed in 30 fps instead By the way, you may notice that the pitch sounds a bit low, that's because my turntable was spinning a tad bit slow when I recorded this

@@grindfreakmike5754 Yeah, can't really do much about it with an entry level turntable, at least it ain't a Crosley lol Although KZbin's compression doesn't do any favor to pretty much any song on the platform, of course they don't sound bad by any means, but you can't really appreciate their true sound

@Apo458 yeah, the turntables good, just saying if it had more of a studio quality sound.but i guess it depends on how the music is put on you tube, some are like an official studio sound video and others sound more like they recorded it with a mic while playing the record then uploaded it, sometimes its ok and other times not.

@@grindfreakmike5754 Oh yeah I get it now. Yup, it really depends on how KZbin handles audio and also on the mix and source of the record. I did a direct feed from my turntable to my PC. I assume Capitol Mexico sourced this record from a 3rd generation master or something similar. Plus the wear of it being played a lot and also the vinyl itself, 45s were targeted towards teenagers and people who didn't care about high fidelity sound but rather an exciting and hot sounding record. I have some records that sound like a lossless audio file, clean and smooth. But others sound harsh and muddy, it almost hurts your ears if you listen to it with headphones

@Apo458 same way i feel with different type files and vinyl compared to cd there's so many variances, does that turntable have a usb-a connector on the end of it? Wondering how it connects to a pc. I have a dac/headphone amp hooked up to my comp and listen to music from you tube and files stored on my comp with headphones connected to it, much louder then a pc's output volume with higher quality sound.

Actually the original version is the album one. (slow) but they told them it was too mild and slow to be a single. So this version was born. But yeah, the guitar sounds just so forward in the mix ❤❤❤

Producer George Martin ruined the "Stereo" mix! It was first released in 1970 on the American only release "Hey Jude" compilation. I hated listening to it on FM Radio in Stereo in the 1970s! I preferred listening to Revolution on 93 KHJ AM Radio "Mono" broadcasts! I wish The Beatles had not included that third verse though! It's superfluous! They should have recorded it mirroring the excellent "Esher" Demo!

That's the way John Lennon wanted it to sound. When he heard it mixed in stereo, he complained it sounded "too vanilla".

THIS is way better than the half assed stereo versions. The guitars and vocals are more up front in the mono version. And it has more punch to it.

@@grindfreakmike5754 all the guitars on the right drums on the left with the rest centered is not a good mix now the Love version in stereo fixes this and honestly way better punch then the mono

Exactly what John Lennon said about their Mono vs Stereo mixes, particularly on the singles, in the mid-1970s. I believe he said something about the Stero Revolution not having it's balls or something.

I think this song had a lot to do with the development of noise rock. I mean, it's noisy rock, noise rock is a broad label, and this fits in that label, so I'd say so.
