Yes it's a great song. For what it's worth, in his book "Revolution In The Head" the late Ian Macdonald takes the view that (1) it goes on one chorus too long, and (2) it was lousy sequencing to have two songs (YWSM and Nowhere Man) both featuring "Oooh-la-la-la" one after the other! Not that I care, criticising anything the Beatles did is a bit irrelevant, they were so great, but he may have a point.

If I'm not mistaken The Beatles delivered *"If I Needed Someone"* and *"Paperback Writer"* on their last live in Candlestick 1966. McCartney was a hell of a bassist to sing and play the bass line of those songs on stage

Arwah Sapi, how right you are to sing and play bass at the same time is very very difficult, this guy has everything, great singing voice, his singing harmonies are just amazing, the Beatles, the best, I am just grateful, that I was living in those fantastic years, each record release just got better and better what they achieved in only 7 years is just amazing

I don't know anything about music but I like It and I wish I knew, but for me it's a kind of magic. I love The Beatles and I could recognize any song by listening to the lead guitar or the rithym guitar but never to the bass line (except for when the bass is playing alone or it's in first place like "come toguether") I admire all good musicians but bass......I can't even imagine how Paul and the rest of bass guitarist can create a bass line. Where does it come from? For me It doesn't have nothing to do with the song but, there It is, perfectly matched to the song and making It better. 😂 See how I can't understand music. It looks like advance maths!!!
