Very interesting. It''s just a simple jam, a one-line bluesy lyric, but you can hear them start really working it into something special after just a minute. They slow it down, they start to swing it and make it less a blues song. Real musicians at work here.

@@dondamon4669 bad take. Music before 1940 was awful? Bach, Mozart, Duke Ellington, The Gershwin brothers, Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson. I'm not saying the Beatles are awful either! They're my favorite band! But that's a very bad take.

Know this is a late reply but listen to the guitars in the first like 20 seconds, it sounds like Sun King, especially one lick which is actually in Sun King
@myguitardetective59612 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing the "Sun King" title reference is the E6 guitar chord played by John at the very end of this video @ the 4:42 cue. He could have just as plausibly referenced "The Ballad Of John and Yoko" in the video title (since that's the last chord of that song ....). Ah well.....

Maybe by the light of the silvery moon with Josephine in his flying machine. BUT ~ On any given Wednesday John Lennon clearly had the the better singing voice, and I dare say possibly the best popular voice of all time. Now, granted, he was no Caruso or Andrea Bocelli. But, neither were they BEATLES.
