Just like Jack Cassidy, who was a What's My Line panelist in the 70's, Linda Darnell was killed in a fire in Chicago back in 1965. Jack Cassidy was killed in a fire in his Los Angeles apartment on December 12, 1976.

DARNELL so cheerful. The opposite of her roles. Died in a fire I believe ? Sooo good looking. Bellissima ! Her first time on stage. Some famous actors never on the stage.

Such a beautiful women. The biography I watched said she was a very kind woman! Way too young to have been thrown into that Hollywood lifestyle in the late 1930's early 1940's. Took its toll on her as a person. Then to die so tragically. Sad!

Linda Darnell (1923 - 1965) died at age 41 resulting from severe burns in a house fire started by careless smoking. She was then cremated. The irony.
