My initial thought with those pickups and first impressions of the top is that this would be a real classic rock machine. Then when it came to the neck it was like the whole think was catapulted forwards in time by about 50 years with the purple heart and graphite rods. The sound, however, does still seem to be pure classic rock. Taking that whole vibe with the vintage sounds and modern playability features make this guitar seem to be the best of both worlds. Also these pickups have the best split sound I have heard from 'standard' style humbuckers.
@greekfreak19804 жыл бұрын
These are handwound, Made in USA Schecter custom shop pickups,they sell them also separately as aftermarket pickups for other guitars. And Schecter´s pickups are really good,on the same level with any Duncan or DiMarzio model. They even have a wide range from vintage PAF´s to super high-output ceramic models.

I have a Diamond Series C-1 Élite in Amber from 2003. It has a maple neck. Schecter only made the maple-necked amber-colored C-1Élite for that one year; in 2004 the whole line got mahogany necks. Frets look like they need a fret job; guitar plays and sustains like it doesn't. Should go ahead and give it one and see what happens. Best guitar I've ever had.
@vav4134 жыл бұрын
C-1+ from the early 2000s is the favorite guitar I have. Always wanted one with a wilkinson style bridge. This is the closest thing to that I think. I am not a huge fan of the spalted maple but I love the inlays. I wish I liked the inlays of the other exotic schecter made this past year
Schecter is really brining it lately with some great options and just well built guitars. I have bought 2 this year and love each one. Probably be buying another one. I have had 8 in my time and not a single one bad. Only traded one back in for another Schecter, it had the sustaniac in it, which just wasn't me. Was still a great guitar though.

I bought the ebony version of this guitar about a month before you uploaded this and I have to say I LOVE it. You truly can't beat the versatility for the price. Darrell, Glad to see that you demo'd this Schecter C-1 Exotic Spalted Maple 6-String Electric Guitar ! ! ! This guitar is so genre versatile, great feel, tone, low as you want or need action, No Fretwork Issues, loads of sustain, playability, pups are the Proprietary 78's wax potted and coils on both pups are splitable, Schecter locking tuners, tusq nut-42+ mm, purple heart neck with double graphite rods and double action adjustable at headstock trussrod, satin finish, rosewood fretboard with abalone inlays on top fretboard and side dot markers and satin finish, mahogany body and neck,Wilkinson tremolo system is smooth and stays in tune really really well, great asthetics ! ! ! This guitar I bought about 2 months ago and I have this guitar in the Schecter C-1 Exotic Vine Of Life that I have a set of Schecter Apocalypse pups I may put into that guitar. I can Always put the pups back to OEM Specs ! ! ! These guitars are just Amazing in Materials and Craftsmanship, man I just can not say anything Negative about them , and that's including my Schecter CR6 models in Aurora Burst & Brown Burst hat have much the same features except the CR6 guitars have the Custom Reverse Headstock, thus the CR6 model name ! ! ! 😎 . . . Serious Guitars . . . 😎 The only other guitar Brand I found that came close to these guitars were a couple Ibaneze or Carvin models and I already have those guitars, each are Unique man only the Schecters were $799 and that's 1/2 or less in pricings but not on the features as mentioned and the serious QC ! ! ! Now I tried to support my local Pop's & Mom's music outlets but they just wouldn't meet the Schecter website pricing, so I went with one of the Major Logo Outlets ! ! ! Schecter has a new model out not available yet that is called the Schecter Omen Poplar Elite 6 Popular Burl Fixed Bridge for about $500 and the Schecter Elite 6 Popular Burl with FR tremolo system for about $600 that comes in 3 finishes, ( Trans - Red, Trans - Aged Natural, and Trans - Blue ). Thanks for this Schecter guitar demo video. It really made my whole month ! ! ! Peace and And Play 🎸 On FretBro . . . 👍🤘🎸😊😎🙏 DDHarris 10-15-2020.

The company ws sold in the 80´s by the founder D.Schecter to an investment group from Texas,who mismanaged them for years,until it was sold again in the mid-90´s to H.Shibuya. You may know him as the founder and CEO of ESP, he also owns the LTD, Edwards,Navigator,Grassroots,Takamine brands and is the President of the famous GIT Musicians Institute in Hollywood (Paul Gilbert was a teacher there). He moved Schecter back to California and put in charge people who were originally working there.The current CEO is a former custom shop guy and pro guitarist. For years,their marketing strategy was to appeal to the metal demographic were they´re very popular,but lately they have expanded their model range and have added some really cool models. Still,most guitar buyers prefer to throw their money to Gibson and Fender,because of their prestigious names,but small brands like Schecter are getting more and more popular.

Purists. People long for certain names and headstocks...sometimes with good reason, but usually it's because of the misconceptions they've built up in their heads. (And I don't mean to be critical, I catch myself suffering from the mystique of certain guitars as well...)

I, also, love the Schecter C1 series--I have a C1 Shedevil myself. One of the reasons (among many) I bought my guitar was the unbelievably smooth junction between the neck and body.
