The Beauty and the Beast Villages in France! | France Road Trip | DRIVING AROUND THE WORLD | Vlog 4

So a little birdy (the internet) told me that there were a couple of villages in the east of France that was said to inspire the beauty and beast village.
Since beauty and beast is my favorite Disney movie, it was only fitting that we went. Plus all these adorable villages are nestled in the heart of the Alsace Wine route, so you know the views are going to be amazing!
We started in Strasbourg, which isn’t linked to beauty and the beast, but it looked pretty nice, so I thought why not. Turned out this is one of the nicest “cities” we’ve ever been too. Super picturesque and it’s a lot like Amsterdam, it’s a bicycle town!
Afterward, we headed to two of the villages said to be the inspiration of Beauty and the Beast. The first is Ribeauvillé and the second is Riquewihr.
These villages in France are so tiny and cute, you wouldn’t even know they were there unless someone told you to go off route and visit them, but they are worth it!
I’ve never seen villages so picturesque in real life, they actually look like movie sets!
It’s not hard to see how people think that Beauty and the beast are linked to these villages!
After an amazing wild camping spot, (France is pretty epic!), then we headed to Colmar, which is home to “Little Venice”, which some say is also linked to Beauty and the Beast, and I can see it, but it does look like a little Venice. Again, super picturesque and wonderful to visit!
This is the best thing about road tripping France in a campervan. Everywhere is welcomed and accessible for vans, and you end up discovering places you would never think of going!

Hey. How are you finding getting vegan food? Like say milk.

Its not too bad in france! Supermarkets have lots of vegan options, including milk, meat alternatives, some have cheese, but milk is easiest to come by. In terms of eating out, there's options for vegans in larger cities, and smaller towns mainly cater for vegetarians, that's what I've noticed so far! But you won't have issues finding basic vegan products in larger supermarkets 😊
