Every man pictured with Ava appears to be in a state of bliss....like I would have been. It would have been like a little bit of heaven on earth to be around that kind of beauty. There are other beauties too, but no one could ever surpass her beauty.

A friend of mine, Italian, was hospitalized in Rome and was a custom for movie stars to visit the hospitals, so, Ava was very close, sitting beside his bed and he said "this woman is not photogenic because in person is much more beautiful" .

Ava said in her autobiography that the way Hollywood so drastically changed her "look"--she was actually a natural dark blond--caused her to doubt herself as a true beauty. She also said she wasn't a very good actress, but I think she was perfect for the roles she played. In spite of her image, she never really stopped being a little girl from North Carolina.

Many Hollywood professionals who worked with beauties on an everyday basis said that the camera did not fully capture the extent of her beauty, that in the flesh she was literally breath taking. One legendary Hollywood photographer declared her the" most beautiful" and "flawless" of the thousands of beauties he had photographed.

Stunner. My dad met her when he was young (like 8 or so). My grandad was friendly with Frank. He says she was a goddess and was intimidated by her allure, and finery. He also met Marilyn Monroe, another goddess, but totally different. My dad liked the blond more, but he met her at like 16, and said she was the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen anywhere. How are there billions more people now but no angels like these?

When it comes to screen beauties, Ava Gardner occupies a category all her own. I think she became a great actress as she matured. But to see her when she was young is almost surreal-that's how unearthly her beauty was. Please rent "One Touch of Venus," then come back here with your responses. I think you'll agree... a goddess in human form. RIP.

yes, you are right. If Greek Gods would choose a real woman for there goddess of Beauty, Aphrodit, they would choose Ava, and not Taylor or any other...
@tiffsaver
@tiffsaver Жыл бұрын
@@jeanlaureaudoynaud4776 Perhaps you're right. Ava had a kind of "exotic" beauty to her that is pretty hard to duplicate. But if you REALLY want to see her at her best, find a copy of "One Touch of Venus," her very first picture in 1948, when she was in her absolute prime. She was absolutely unreal...

nathan hannemann God no, people are mixing her pedal stool title with her looks. Most pictures of her here are low quality, and she still doesn't look that good. Take some high quality pictures of her such as like right here 6:49-7:10, she really just isn't that beautiful, I'm sorry.
@user-li1gp2jw8k
@user-li1gp2jw8k 5 жыл бұрын
Starla Jones she totally is... she was stunning in youth. Her looks faded slightly with age due to drinking but even then she still looked better than most.
@user-li1gp2jw8k
@user-li1gp2jw8k 5 жыл бұрын
Starla Jones beauty is subjective however she had classical features that would appeal to most. I also doubt you’ve seen prettier. Most women are average at best, so either you are amongst exceptional looking women or just plain full of shit. Lol surely your standards cannot be too high, if you think Ava was not a beauty. Delusional much. She may not be your preference but that does not take away from her immense beauty and character
@starlajones5558

S Not delusional just because I'm not brainwashed by her title and pedal stool she's been placed on. I said she's pretty, but she is not beautiful. I've seen better. If you think she's the prettiest lady ever existed than you are the delusional one here. I've seen several ladies that look better than her, fact.

Don't believe it about her being just as beautiful without makeup. I have yet to see any woman whose beauty was not enhanced by makeup. Obviously too many models and actresses "abuse" it, particularly eye shadow. But not Ava! I don't like to pit these screen beauties against eachother, so I just have a list of my top "faces to die for" which I give all equal ranking, in no particular order: AVA GARDNER, RAQUEL WELCH, GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA, NATALIE WOOD, RHONDA FLEMING, MAUREEN O'HARA, MARTHA HYER, HEDY LAMARR, LINDA DARNELL, VERA MILES, VIRNA LISI, and KIM NOVAK. (I daresay some of these are on almost everyone's list.)

My great aunt used to work for Gardner. &, I was told that she was a mean, violent drunk/pill taker with a mouth like a sailor. She could fight like a man. My aunt said it was miserable working for her, cause she always was so disagreeable & dramatic. My aunt said she was beautiful, but certainly not the goddess ppl play her up to be. So, I'm inclined to believe my aunt, since she worked for her, & met all of the old hollywood crowd. I envy my great aunt. I mean seriously, my aunt met everyone.

It's in the eyes ...proof at 00:42. Ava Gardner had it in spades,yet she always remained true to herself,no conceit of any kind,a wildcat for sure who lived life to the extreme fullest. At the time of her prime,she shared the title of "Most Beautiful Woman in Hollywood" with Lana Turner,Gene Tierney, Marilyn Monroe and of course Elizabeth Taylor to name a few. But for Ava, it was always in her alluring eyes.

Ava was beautiful by any definition of the word.I think Garbo was as close to perfect at age 25 as any woman could get. We all hv different tastes and this is reflected in our comments but true beauty does hv a common denominator of physical traits that result in a VERY SELECT group known as Hollywoods greatest female legends. Let us enjoy the memories of all of them !!

The music is detrimental to the video. Regarding the pictures, less would have been more. Steve Reeves once said: "One bad photo is worth 1,000 good ones!" Too many images here don't do her justice and should be removed. Needless to say, when God was handing out the most beautiful faces, Ava Gardner was among the first in line.
