As much as I'm concerned with the optimization, I can't deny I had a TON of fun trying out different weapons, especially the bow and charge blade. Yeah both of them are pretty busted but god are they so satisfying to use. Stellar gameplay as always, your montage never ceases to amaze me.

I have had so much fun playing the MHWi beta that I put in about 30h in just those short few days. I really hope they do something about the performance tho as being CPU bottlenecked is going to be a real pain in the ass otherwise. Amazing video tho, hella satisfying to watch and see someone pull off those weapon moves! Imo, if they manage to fix the performance this feels like it's going to be the smoothest and best feeling Monster Hunter game by far!

You always make using weapons look so elegant and seamless. I salute thee. Unfortunately I can't play the Beta as I need a better graphics card. So I have to satisfy my cravings by watching Wilds Beta gameplay. One thing I think I'm seeing is that monsters might be getting something like a "Stagger Moment", where they are winding up for this big attack and vulnerable for it, as long as you land a big hit of your own, you can knock them flat on their ass. If that is true then that is really nice.

I just want the camera to zoom more and the phial explosions to be 3x bigger and I’ll accept the state the weapon is in. Double slash feels sluggish and bad, then you’re telling me I have to build 10 phials to have that half baked SAED explosion? Come on. Capcom did us dirty.

@AbyssalRai Its a beta bro. You dont even have proper good skills for the weapon. Its dumb to Jump to conclusions from a beta. Also no, the additional phials dont power up Saed, they power up the on-hit explosions. Dunno what youre talking about double slash being sluggish. Saed is gonna be more situational and its a good thing, its more of a reward for blocking and guard points, and the focus mode on it a 100% a buff. Its just less spammy. Yes Savage axe is stronger in this beta, but its honestly not a good way to jump at conclusions to look at speedruns on a barebones build of the game, with a set of armor skills thats probably the worst we ever got in a MH demo

The colors being comparatively dull in Fallow and Inclemency is a deliberate contrast, and I'd argue that during the Sandtide the colors need to be muted to have the lightning stand out as much as it does. Oh. Also really good weapon showcase.

Focus mode basically turns Combat in this game into something from DMC with how easy to can reposition and actually aim your attacks without having to tank turn every single time I love it

Wilds might be the game where I actually put in the effort to try every single weapon. They all look so good. In World I gravitated towards Long Sword and Great Sword. Which are really fun. But The Bow, the Insect Glaive, Dual Blades, Switch Axe, Gun Lance all look incredible in Wilds.
