Six Feet Under is the best thing I've ever seen, film or TV show.
@ablazedark4 жыл бұрын
this series changed my life like 15 years ago, when i was in a very, very turbulent phase of my life. it was like a sledgehammer, shook every fiber of my being. it really made me see that anger/disappointment are just unnecessary bags of bricks that you can put away easily. it made me see that no matter what happens, life is magical with everything in it, and to appreciate it you need tranquillity, serenity. you have to accept everything around you, for better or worse. only then you will grow, mature and cherish the only the thing you will ever have. i still can't forget the shot of nate's disappearing in the rear-view mirror. it completely destroyed me, only to pick the pieces afterwards and join him in this journey. since 2005, that stupefying finale, i couldn't have brought myself to watch a single episode again. it bears so heavy on my memories that i think i cannot re-watch it again. six feet under, for me, will always be the ultimate work of art. it is not a tv series, it is beyond that. it is an anomaly, and a beautiful one. like life itself.

I was just thinking the same thing, that this show encapsulates life itself, with all its beauty and pain. I rewatched it a decade after I’d first seen it, and I think it made an even bigger impact on me. It resonated in a different way. I’m curious to see what I’ll take out from it the next time I watch it, when my life will change yet again.

It’s not underrated. It was massively impacting at the time. The thing is, go convince younger audiences to watch a show from 25 years ago when they are bombarded by so many shows every season, most of which I doubt the worthiness . I have seen six feet under at the time and two more after. I have said to myself I still want to see it one more time, but I wish I could see it with someone else and not alone as the previous 3.

@SelenaSea4 жыл бұрын
Hi @@alejandrogonzalezfuentes6462 It could mean many things, but my understanding is that in taking a photo as she was departing for New York, Claire was trying to capture a part of her life that was already over. Nate's words in her mind told her that she couldn't change that. She couldn't bring it with her by taking a photograph, nor make it last. It was a part of her life that had already come and gone. ♡
@alejandrogonzalezfuentes64624 жыл бұрын
@@SelenaSea Thank you for answering me. I understood that Claire is the improve of all the others characters personality and with that quote she did better than Nate because she with her photographs keeps memories while Nate only lived for the present. One of the most unique and compelling shows ever. A show that centered on all aspects of death, was really all about life. The cast was brilliant and the characters were realistic, each having their own flaws. You came to care for them all. At any given point you loved or loved to hate them. Some would get on your last nerve. SFU could shock you and then in equal measures make you laugh and make you cry. If you were lucky enough to have watched from beginning to series finale, the epic ending made the journey well worth the bumpy ride. I doubt we'll ever see a show like this again.

The best drama of all time, without question. I rewatch the series every year or two & it's amazing how powerful it remains even after seeing it at least 15 times. And what's really cool is how I identify with different characters depending on the phase of my life. As I age, certain scenes hit me differently than when I was in my early twenties. Six Feet Under, a piece from another world. This Tv show changed my life forever, made me realize it's okay life has a dark side for everyone I'm not special to feel that, life will always keep running with you happy, sad or even dead (as you can see in Nate running scenes) I always felt Alan Ball tried to show Nate as the perspective of time passing by. I finished the show in summer of 2018. Till this day I can't see anything was ever written better than SFU. I used to be decreased, sad and isolated but thanks to this tv show, I realized the importantly of our time on earth and we have to enjoy along sadness. Forever grateful to this tv show who made me who I am today, a happy 27 years old man. Just finished it, can't recall crying so hard over a series/movie. What makes Six Feet Under one of the best shows of all time is that it never takes a moral stance, you could be from any religion or creed and every person that watches it will take something different from it. My favorite line in the whole show is from season 1, where David is struggling with his sexuality and says to a dead pornstar the following: "I thing God appreciates it when there's love involved."

As soon as I saw that this video was uploaded, I just knew that 'Breathe Me' by Sia would be the song of choice. The song that plays in the final moments of the final episode of this show has stuck with me for a very long time. I also remember it stuck with me largely because I lost my grandmother shortly before I started watching this show for the first time and so when I reached the conclusion, the emotions were running high for me. No matter how many times I watch the final episode I'm always brought to tears. I'm really glad that this was uploaded and I'm hopeful that more people will go and check out this absolute gem of a show because it's one of my all time favourites. P.S. If I may make a request... Is there any chance of a 'The Beauty Of' for 'This Is England' and the three subsequent mini-series' that came after it? There's a lot of potential for that one and I contend that the film and the show are criminally underappreciated and could certainly use more eyes on it.
