Frank Devereaux' Speech was truly monumental. It had such an impact on Dean's character growth and on a lot of angsty teens watching it. Definitely not good advice. But it made me a stronger person for one, as I still think about his words from time to time.

I love how each scene somehow include Jensen.. like it's your way of saying "Jensen is the beauty of supernatural" (can't agree with you more, add a sizzle of misha in to the perfect recipe that is Jensen and it's a food porn[probably not a wise choice of word but you get the message]) ;)

Thank you for sharing again the beauty that you see in Supernatural. Love that speech from Frank. It is the first quote from Supernatural that I ever wrote down. The choreography of the fight in the bunker is gorgeous, even if the red lighting is not my favorite. (AngelDove did a fan edit where that scene is tinted in blue instead of red and I find it is even more beautiful. But I understand that red was more in tune with the scene and the context of the bunker being under attack 😏)

I absolutely love the opening of Atomic Monster! I always go back and watch it and Dean is just so freaking beautiful in that outfit (those fingerless gloves and his scarf? Yes Please!) and that beard.... ooooooh

As a Black woman who loves this show, I always pay a little more attention to when Black actors come in, and they always seem to act their asses off, imo. My personal faves are: Leslie Odom, Jr. as that entrepreneurial crossroads demon with Becky, that demon that taunted the brothers when they had to work for Crowley to find the Alphas and wanted to talked to him (I cackled), the demon and the angel that sassed Lucifer in the asylum and in heaven when he was Casifer, Cassie Robinson period because I love Megalyn Echikunwoke point blank, and Rick Worthy as the Alpha Vampire. Especially Rick Worthy, because: he played the Alpha like a proper, sophisticated, gentlemen... who can at times, barely hold back his savagery; he told Mick Davies & the BMOL to get the fuck off his lawn 😂, and I kinda loved the fact that the 1st real monster to exsist, baring Levaithans, and 1st vampire (The most ICONIC monster of all time) was a Black man😅

What about Michael as a black woman - Dean says, Dude looks like a lady, and Crowley fusses over which pronoun to use. I'm a white woman but I also liked that they didn't just hire mixed race blacks. Crowley's demon (besides being gorgeous) had great line too, I know you're talking, your lips are moving but I dont understand you because I dont speak little bitch. Awesome

Something you haven't touched on (yet) is the beauty of the soundtrack the show has... and I'm not just talking about "classic rock RAWKS!!!!", but the use of the songs to set a scene or convey a mood. The various times Dean yell-sings along with the radio, Dean pushing Sam to sing along. And my absolute favorite... 2x12: Nightshifter. The use of Styx's Renegade is poetry. Very little actual dialogue, but the drum heartbeat, the yell, the actual lyrics of the song... I could watch that scene over and over and I can always feel the emotions.

I agree but they are mostly Jensen, a stunning man and great actor. Now Sam in a towel is always appreciated. And Castiel's entrance has been pointed out many times as gorgeous. More Jared, please. Thanks for this video! It's awesome!

1. I agree with you on that first clip, just perfect in every way. This high tense fight scene in mysterious red, so awesome. I love all the scenes in this show where they just go for a monochrome bold color to signal either strong emotions or things meant to be ominous or mysterious. I've seen other shows do these kinds of scenes but none that actually made it an opening ( it tends to be used as at the climax of a movie or show at least that I've seen). Definitely one of the coolest scenes. Although I don't really remember Benny being human? Maybe I missed that the first time I watched it. 2. I love that moment too, when their in the tomb, so quick yet it had me laughing for a minute straight because despite it being very Dean, I wasn't expecting it. 3. Your right, there wasn't a lot of blood but it was still pretty disgusting and very uncomfortable to watch. BUT, it's one of my favorite monster introductions out of the entire show. Shifters will always remain one of my favorite monsters because it's just so different from any other shows depiction of shape shifters. It was gross and gory and looked very painful for the monsters themselves, while in other shows ( and later on with the evolution of shifters in the show) it's just simply morphing into someone or something else. There's just something so... so very realistic about them in a way that other monsters on the show aren't ( not counting the fact that most monsters end up having a weakness to silver), a lot of the later creatures have this otherworldly quality to them, and while that's cool and all-shifters seem to have these qualities that are very believable- like something similar to them could actually exist ( if that doesn't sound too ridiculous, I KNOW it's fiction). Also, the MUSIC used in this scene just made that much more fascinating for some reason. Made my heart beat faster, made me love it even more and I'm glad they did not choose to play something creepy because the scene never would have had the same effect without it. 4. YES. Frank was not a throw away character, after Bobby got killed off this character was like fucking therapy. At first I thought he was going to be a comic relief character, kind of how Garth started out- but of course, exactly like Garth they decided to give us a scene like this and give real depth to his character. This scene was one of the most emotional scenes for me, because every scene after that where he was smiling and wisecracking I would just think about what he went through and him admitting to faking it to cope and it just made me sad. It made me wonder what it would have been like if John had decided to cope like Frank, whether it would be better or worse for Sam and Dean growing up. It made me really angry when they killed him off because he was such an amazingly complex character, and it seems that the best of supernaturals " throw away" characters get dropped pretty quickly. I'm not saying he could have been the new Bobby ( NO character can replace Bobby), but it would have been nice for the guys to have him as an ally in future seasons. Even though he was obnoxious he was very smart and knew tricks that Sam and Dean could have probably used. 5. This scene, when Dean shoots Jack, its.. well it's a whole lot of things. I mean, it's interesting that Dean has gotten to the point where he's not scared of Jack hurting him, despite the way he was acting. He just trusts him without a second thought. Any other show and I would be having anxiety out the wazoo, but it's also just very touching that it really HAS evolved that much. From his birth to this moment he's already proven that he wouldn't hurt anyone willingly unless he truly thinks they deserve it. All that being said though, despite the seriousness what was happening, it really caught me off guard the first time and it just made me laugh how that's the first thing Dean can think to do. Not shout, not go over there and try and pry him off the dude, he just.. shoots him, as if he momentarily forgot that wasn't going to hurt Jack in the slightest. Jacks face as he turns around, I think, is one of the funniest things ever. Just that completely offended Look he gives Dean, like HoW dArE yOu😂 6. I completely agree, I loved Azazel as a character. Jeffrey did an outstanding Job portraying him. Though I have to be honest, since I didn't much care for John as a character because of certain things ( I bet you agree with me on that), I loved his portrayal of Azazel a LOT more than the other actors throughout his arc on the show-not that I didn't think that the character portrayal was bad done by anyone else. He just really stood out to me and gave me more chills when it was Jeffrey. I think it would have been really interesting to have him stay in John for longer than he did. Imagine the desperation factor and the emotions that it would evoke- similar to when Lucifer possessed Cas. 7. The way the Michael scene began, it genuinely felt like the intro to a horror film. The stereotypical storm in the background, the creepy deserted church/castle, dirty and bloody hostages..then, the complete confusion of not knowing what the fuck he was doing to them, it was one of those perfect scenes that I wouldn't want any other way.

Such great choices again. I love how you are able to pick moments from all era’s of the show. Some people get so far into extremes of how the show lost quality when it was pushed to change general style decisions. But there were genuinely well thought out moments in every season. Depending on who cared to put the effort into them.

just have to agree~ all of them are great scenes - I love that SPN often place in these little funny moments, but also have amazing set designer and make up artists ~ with acting I won't start, bc well the small nuances most of the actors and actresses give to their character makes them just loveable... (or hateable in a good way) but I like to add a scene to the Frank speach which I still find very impressive from the acting part... the last scene in the same episode, where Sam and Dean are driving and in the end you see Dean and he tries to hold up his smile and stumbles with it first ~ that is one of my faviorit scenes ~ so well acted~ it doesn't need any words... just saw in another commy - yeah the opening scene with the fight in the bunker - the whole scene is a masterpiece of art

After surviving GISH, recovery from withdrawal of GISH, a capal tunnel syndrome and a herniated disc, this is exactly the beauty of a video I need today. I can't decide witch of those I like the most. They are all perfect choices. The scene with Frank hit even harder, for me, combined with the ending of the episode. Dean in the Impala trying. 😭 In general I wish we had some more of Michael. Most of that scenes were amazing in my eyes. The red opening 😱😍 I think, I best now rewatch at least one of this episodes. Wow, that's a lot of pain for you to deal with. I hope you feel better. After I lost my job due to being put in disability for mental problems, I discovered Supernatural in the morning and caught up in time to watch from Season 6 in real time. Supernatural really has healing properties and a lot of times I'd visualize Castiel as I fell asleep. It will help you too Take care.

@@kylehyde215CA I actually don't know about re-runs. The original air and dvds had the original audio, and it was changed for digital streaming (so they wouldn't have to purchase the rights again). A lot of the season 1 music was swapped out.
