First of all i will applaud mr. Acuzar and all his team for doing such a great job for this Esplanade. Putting the “Beaux-Arts style is like a resemblance of old manila back in the days. My suggestion would be, sana maglagay o magtanim ng maraming puno sa kahabaan ng esplanade ng sa ganun ay mas buhay na buhay ang pasig river at hindi mainit kapag tag araw. For me yan ang nakikita kong kulang. Salamat sa magandang question nyo maam BabyPat😊🙏🙏

Jerry would come up with the idea of reviving the old building along Pasig River and turning it into a hotel or museum or a café with a recreational space, a viewing deck that could generate more jobs and income, right? Tama ka ka KZbinro mas maganda kung makakapaglagay sila ng ticketing at booking booth hindi office para mas pang masa hindi pang can afford lang ang dating. Isang ferry station din diyan sa esplanade na pwedeng maghatid sa ating mga local at foreign tourist sa Las casas filipinas de acuzar ang BGC noong panahon ng kastila para mas mapalakas pang lalo ang ating tourism industry. 🙂😋🇵🇭

every government building in manila should be made in the neo-classical or beaux art or art deco style, or any style pre-1930s that was current in spain or the us to bring back the original vision of daniel burnham for manila. it was envisioned as a magnificent city lined with parks and beautiful imposing buildings and canals for recreation, commerce, and transportation like venice, chicago, and new york. if an old building can be demolished as long as the facades are recreated accurately according to the architectural designs of the facades of the originals while improving an updated interior. the rooftops are underutilized in terms of the lack of solar panels that could be used to power lighting and industrial air conditioning

Kudos again to you Sir for devoting much time and effort covering worthwhile undertakings like this. Big props as well to those funding and supporting such grand, expensive projects in the country. Just a few nitpicks on an idea I heard in another vlog of allowing bikes on the esplanade. I think this undermines the 'walkability' aspect of it as it's inevitable that energetic youngsters would find careening up & down the incline exhilarating. If they wanted to provide a way for bikers to cross over to Plaza Mexico area, they can pave the space between the Friendship Bridge on-ramp and esplanade wall to connect close to the stairs. A pergola may then be installed between the deck and wall if so desired. Should another PWD access be needed, a simple lift or two at the planned ramp & deck junction would suffice. Near there can be a good location too for the restrooms (the one outside is quite distant, inadequate & not so nice). Hopefully, grease traps & plumbing for the eateries are not overlooked. And to keep these endeavours from deteriorating, perhaps the Government could acquire the unused PLDT building you mentioned (last white structure in the model) and convert same as an 'Intramuros Precinct' to police the area, prevent crime, maintain peace & order, and scare away vandals. They can park their patrol cars or bikes right outside where construction equipment and organizers' vehicles used to. Alternatively, they could adaptively reuse it as a 'South Bank Visitors Center' of sorts. Speaking of the burnt MCPO, they could use the present Immigration Building when the latter transfers to its new Head Office. And there being no observable signs of restoration activities, maybe the authorities could repurpose the post office to house the 'Supreme Court' in the meantime to afford the institution the dignity it deserves - not tucked away in the seedy corner of Taft Ave and Padre Faura (inasmuch as their building in BGC doesn't seem to have started construction despite the cornerstone laying happening ages ago - worse odds now that the Senate is scrutinized for overruns). The DOJ could then return the property to PGH, who in turn can use it for their administrative and sundry functions, so the spaces which will be vacated in the hospital proper can be used as wards by patients displaced in the recent fire. @@kaKZbinro one of less known style of architecture in the Philippines is The Brutalist Architecture part of our Modern Government buildings built during the Marcos Sr. Administration I only knew recently that most of the structure found within the compound of Cultural Center of the Philippines are Brutalist Architecture Cultural Center ,Folk Art Theater, Philippines International Convention Center Philtrade ,Film Center etc. Are all Brutalist Style could you make a vlog on these type of Architecture that will make us aware that these type of architecture which most of us called modern is Called Brutalist

The block square buildings behind the esplanade are ugly. I hope the government defines a strict, official provisions for all the property owners in that area to follow a strict guidelines in the facade of all their buildings, it need to have a uniformity of a colonial style design just like the two buildings across with character.

Acuzar gets an “A+” for effort. But for progress, he only gets a “C” due to his incongruent application of design. Heres why: 1. The lamp posts are not uniform. Phase 1 has round lights. Phase 2 has an hexagonal cylinder shape. Nearby binondo has the red dragon lights. Near the Post Office we see that curved wing-shape arm light. 2. The fountains. Why would there be fountains literally next to the river or body of water? It’s an unnecessary feature, 3. The mini statues, again way too many of them, it’s excessive like the many lamp posts. Hopefully the city gets rid of the billboards, the old modern buildings behind phase 2, the ugly arch bridge modern bridge, the spaghetti wires, USE THE HISTORICAL VIDEOS/PICTURES OF PREWAR MANILA AND JUST LITERALLY COPY HOW THE CITY LOOKED BACK THEN. Well, let’s wait for the finished product. Maybe everything will come together. But as of now, the area looks like an eastern European communist block capital filled with modern structures that are unkept mixed with overly decorated classic out-of-place details.
