@@audioreakt I thinks there is a big problem in the Techno scene is coming up since last year. The interest for real techno, like we like to listen to is going down. In the last 18 months 80s to 00 remixes on the dance beat are the hot shit every booker of clubs and festivals is pushing. This has led to a decline in interest in real Techno and less is being produced, unfortunately. When you have contacts to other producer or Techno DJs, they will tell you the same. I hope this will only be a short term trend.

@@83cst thanks for your input, I don’t know to be honest, it’s weird because I feel techno has never as popular but also I feel like less people are interested in making it or maybe it’s just an algorithm things and I am just less popular than before for different reason I don’t know, I stopped trying to understand, and just keep focusing on doing my thing haha

Sending you good vibes man, and a small note that I'm experiencing similar feelings, the KZbin analytics are set up to make you feel like you're constantly in decline, push you to maximise these numbers that feel like you're competing with every other entertainment channel out there. It's a lot of existential dread and feeling 'unsafe' as you describe it (very good description IMO) when your livelihood depends on it.
@audioreakt2 ай бұрын
Thanks Oscar, yeah to be honest I got off of analytics since a while now as it was driving me crazy and making me overthink the whole stuff…That’s why I didn’t really care number going down for a while as for me this numbers were already crazy high for me so didn’t mind to get less views. It’s more the continuous going down things which is scary but as soon as it stabilise will be good… because even without talking money wise, when you put so much effort into something, to see it die slowly is scary, but I have hope it will stabilise and it feel safer… thanks for your input anyway , I really appreciated it ! Hey Paul! I’ve been studying content creation a lot lately as I plan on diving into creating content myself and one thing I noticed is that people connect easier with more personal content. For example, this video has just over 600 views at the time of writing this but already has over 100 comments compared to your last video that has over 4000 views but only 15 comments. People can relate to this video more because it’s more personal than what you usually post. Another thing to keep in mind is that since you mostly make tutorial videos, people are only going to watch when they need to watch it. For example, I’m currently taking a bit of a break from producing music so I don’t feel the need to watch any music production tutorials at this time - whereas as soon as I seen the title of this video, I clicked and watched it because just from the title alone, it right away felt like something I could personally relate to. So maybe try to sprinkle in some more content like this! It doesn’t have to be entertaining, just relatable. Maybe tell some stories about how you got into content creation as a music producer, or stories about some of your big moments as a music producer or what it was like to work with any big name artists if you have worked with any. There’s so many ways to make content still related to music that isn’t strictly tutorials. Hope you find your way and thanks for all the hard work you’ve put in over the years!

first thank a lot for your input, it's very valuable and resonate with me a lot. lately I've been watching a lot of vlog (I used to don't like vlog), not the usual vlog, but chill people doing vlog in a cinemtic way and based a lot on story telling and I lenjoy them a lot strangely and i learn a lot of interesting things, I've been thinking a lot about how to do similar things with my channel but haven't found a way yet, I have some video sketch essays here and there but nothing concrete yet.. but def something i am looking into... And making things more personal is a good idea, I already thought about doing vlog couple year ago but it is something way harder than it look, it is hard to bring your personal touch, especially when you do tutorial... anyway thanks again, i am pretty sure you will succeed in your content creator journey as you seems to understand how it works, I just followed you so I can watch you grow too haha. cheers,

Hey Paul, thanks for posting this! Been going through similar thoughts lately with content creation and have to admit that staying true to yourself despite the decline in views is quite a challenge ( but always worth it). KZbin tends to make us creators go down this route of "hype, trend following, audience retention" etc. etc. Yeah it might give us some results for some time but it never really lasts long in my experience because doing something we don't feel aligned with is simply energy draining. Taking a break and focusing on the music, trying out different workflows is what helped me best. With this approach the ideas for KZbin actually started to flow again. If it's something you're questioning: How about trying a mixture of both long form and short form content? Whatever choice you make, you have my support. Thank you for being authentic!

thanks mate, yeah I have been through this type of phase but never really express myself because then things was going better eventually but lately it has been very scary and you start to doubt a lot about yourself, probably there is no need but still it is like that... Hey man!! I’ve watched so many of your tutorials a few years ago. Unfortunately, because of work and studies, I haven’t had the energy to make music. But I just wanted to tell you that you’re a fantastic teacher! I think it’s brilliant that you take the time to teach music to so many people. I hope you’re doing well and wish you all the best. I’ll try to keep an eye on your videos in my feed :)

I really really love your content and I completely understand that internal struggle about doubts when you see views/attention drop. It makes it extra hard when you have outside forces like family and financial needs pushing too. I hope you stay true to your content because I love it the way it is. I've learned so much from you, it's never annoying like some other creators. It's straight to the point and so helpful.

One thing I can tell I learned a lot and made a beat I wanted just in like 3 hrs(I only got like very minor time per day for music) with 0 try of making a techno song even some other general(of course I know a lot of basic knowledge about DAW, but I'm just a DJ not a good producer yet., but I did it with a great mixing bc of your video. I think your channel helped me a lot like the peak time techno and techno like space 92.I like to spend rest of my week to finish that track and watch most of your videos. also bought your sample packs and more which is super help.

Tbh as an artist we all struggle from time to time with that kind of problem, but what I can tell you is that your content really helped me into getting better at production, I understood a lot of things thanks to that and I started to be way more passionate about production thanks to you, so however you will do you will always be part of my personal development and groth and I will be always thankful for it... And obviously you can always count on my view on your videos

I'd wager most of the issue is with how KZbin has changed it's algorithm priorities in the past year. A handful of great content channels have expressed similar opinions on their views dropping. It's refreshing to hear your thoughts on this topic and glad to hear the direction you've chosen to keep pursuing. Rather than try to ride the ever-changing wave, double down with your current style and I expect it will stabilize and eventually grow even more. I am a big fan of your content and will continue to watch and support
@audioreakt2 ай бұрын
yes but the algo is easy to blame in my opinion, the algo is a reflection of what most of the audience want and it always depend what is your goal. Like I said I never tried to please the algo, hence I know i will always been less push in the front but I am okay with that... Yeah I don't want it to grow just to stabilize but I feel it's either your grow or you die, there is no in between unfortunately...will see
@nicolassavas16952 ай бұрын
I ve been watching and learning with your videos since the firsts video you made out and I saw how you grew both as an artist and content creator. I think that views are pretty important but as Performance Marketing Specialist I would analyse if your other Kpis are staying as always or are decreasing. I say this because the trend of algorithms in almost every Social Media are showing less impressions for more content creators. So if you don't want to sacrifice your content (because you believe in the fashion you do make its the best) then I would focus more on improving the quality and keep the "retention" of your suscribers. I believe less but good quality is better than quantity. I am so gratefull with your content since I evolved watiching your tutorials. Keep posting and rockin!

Thanks for your inputs, globally everything is going down but at different rate, but for exemple stuff like subscriber seems to settle, maybe view will settle at 80k or 70k and then it’s fine for me. I am not looking for growth and growth but more sustainability. Yeah improve quality but the about the content but the form, I feel it could be presented in a more interesting way and I am already working on that. Thanks a lot for your input and taking the time to write, I really appreciate it. Cheers

Wow, I admire you for your great ability to keep up that pace and with a family like you say. I have a 6-month-old baby and I had to stop playing music for the moment because I can't... so I understand you perfectly. Maybe it would be an option to have your own production website with a subscription and upload your productions there. Your content, unlike other people, is brutal, I would pay for it without thinking. Well, good luck and whatever your decision is, let it be the best for you and your people who are the ones who nourish you and give you the day to day. A hug
@audioreakt2 ай бұрын
thanks a lot, but this became my job so it is easier than otehr to balance with family (because I make music during my working time)... the thing is with your own website is that you have to remember people to go, and it might work at the beginning but then it slowly died. you need to constantly try to attract new poepl to it, because it come and goes... youtube does that for me and that a great chance...just need to adapt maybe more to the audience, try to present things differntly, will see

I don't know if this helps in any way, but your channel actually has motivated me to create my own custom Techno patches on my new Minifreak. Just a couple of weeks I started to get into hardware synthesizers and I really love the sound of the things you showcase on this channel. While you don't do Minifreak content, the knowdlege you share in your Microfreak tutorials has really helped me as a beginner to find confidence in making music and creating my own, interesting sounds. Wanted to just thank you for your channel and your content!

I think in this day and age, this style of content is everywhere and it is hard to stand out. I think you definitely do (Heck even Tom Hades talks about you in one of his masterclasses, in case you didn't know!), and your presets and sample packs stand out in a saturated market where it seems everyone is doing a sample pack or preset pack these days (which, to me, at this point is becoming a bit of a meme).... So keep it up and try not to let changing youtube stats get to you. I (We) appreciate your time and effort. It's obvious you do this out of love and for those of us who have followed you since day 1, we know this (heck anyone watching should be able to see that).... So thank you! I look forward to more new videos from you. 😎💙

You honestly make some of the best techno production content on here. And I actually appreciate that you're not using clickbaity video titles such as "My music sucked until I did THIS..." (and then it's some super basic or irrelevant thing). I learned a lot through your videos and hope you will keep making them ❤ Gonna purchase one of your wavetable preset packs as soon as I get to it - maybe you could consider creating a bundle of the 4 existing packs 😉
@audioreakt2 ай бұрын
thanks a lot, I think I could never make this kind of content personally, as it is for me the culture of ''always more'' ''always more entertaining'' always more dramatic more more and more and more again...just thinking about it give me burnout vibes...clickbait is okay if done in a smart way and if on the ned you get value from the video you click, but I still think like everything is life you shouldn't abuse it... thanks for your support anyway !

The way you’ve always entertained is by dropping the best techno knowledge on KZbin with almost all of it being free. Your Soundbanks are the most useful things online for beginning producers. Maybe short form promotion/explanation of new Soundbanks with a couple more drum samples to appeal to a wider audience? People love presets & yours truly are the best/most unique ones on the internet. Favorite YT channel & massive respect to whatever you choose to do✊🏼
