Well, let's say in the novel Arthur almost dies, but thanks to silvie he manages to survive since silvie gave his human body to Arthur, just as he took it to the other continent, so Arthur gets a new look and Regis (the purple Wolf that is supposed to be the most powerful weapon art has) so as he is on the new continent he is not going to tell everyone that he is Arthur a soldier who has possibly killed thousands of his own. With this in mind Arthur passes himself off as "grey" an alacrian who is a nephew of an alcoholic.
