Thank you for the audio. So, as growing believers we all hit a crossroad. And regrettably some of us falter here. This passage helps us refine our theology of 'peace'. We don't have total peace on this Earth. "Oh...but didn't we cross the Jordan?" But there are still Canaanites in the land ! We, sometimes daily, contend with the storms of life and our own terminal sinfulness. Pilgrims, strangers. Rest may not equate to comfortableness.

We test in the finished work of Christ. We are obedient to his word abiding day and night, praying without ceasing. Follow all of its commands and you fall into his rest. Labor to enter in… our labor is to keep our eyes in the Bible remembering what is says, praying and praising the Lord in music, pulled away from the world. Be dependent on his promises. Right out promises to stand on everyday. Our work is to love him with all our minds, hearts and souls. Constantly living for guidance from him, casting our perceived burdens on him….
