In our dojo there were columns to support the weight of the rafters and were padded for safety. One of the ways we used the belts was to wrap them around the columns, one end of the belt in each hand, then practice the entry and throw motions of newly learned throws. Just a way of practicing without an Uki. I believe there may be some video available on YT of the dojo, where the origins of Mi Yama Ryu Jujitsu began. In english it was known as the Tremont School of Judo and Jujitsu, located in The Bronx, NY. The school was founded by the late Shinan Antonio Pereira (RIP).

If I even suggested using our belts in such a manner I'd be in so much trouble 😲

Running and touching eachother on the shoulder and legs is also a good practice.

Now I know where you got your exercises from for last nights class! They were fun. But some of them needed more time to practice. :-)
