Just imagine the redskins offense had RG3 not gotten hurt, or even not as bad as he did. This is a very skewed take on things. He was to blame too; avoiding physios and things. I get that it came from a good place, but it was still stupid. And then his ego got the better of him and he stopped working and started selling merchandise. He was the Messiah, and Messiahs don't work! That is the main reason he isn't playing anymore, not the injury. People rehab knees and become as good as they were, if they work hard. And RGIII never did when it came to football. And if they don't have a horrible reputation I should add, which he definitely did. I still remember the presser from October 2013 when Mike Shanahan publicly said that "Robert doesn't put the time in". In all my years of watching the sport I don't think I've ever heard a coach publicly say something like that about his starting QB. And then you add all the gym posing, the entourage of parasites he walked around with as if he was Elvis, delusional pressers, his meddling dad etc. It was uncomfortable just watching him after 2012.

@@jujudubs9258 you know, I now disagree. Thought the same but look at what Kyle has done everywhere he's been. An offensive genius. So, I think RG3 played well in this scheme which was designed for him to have the most impact for his skill set. As a pocket passer, he can't handle the complex NFL defenses. When they don't fear his running ability and don't have to put a spy on the QB or cover him it closes down passing lanes and that's too much for him to process. The reason he got hurt, I believe, is the dumbass never learned how to avoid hits. Look at Russel Wilson. Still a running threat to this day. Small guy too. Seems to NEVER take a hit. He plays real smart-like. I don't know if RG3 thought he was invincible or he is just not smart enough to know how to avoid contact. He was the one who stated he didn't want to run as much and become a pocket passer. He was the one who didn't rehab intensely. You see running backs come back from that shit all the time. Because they work their asses off in rehab. When he became RGME, it was all over. They greats never stop trying to improve their game and learn more.

Ultimately RGIII’s rookie year was a lesson in inability to slide or go down, getting out of his own way, having the need to prove you wrong while attempting God mode every play. I watched this game live he didn’t have to run right into the defender like that but he choose to, just like all the other games that year, he choose to, the whole world was telling him to slide and get down lmao might’ve still been playing today who knows but it was big fun while lasted and honestly speaking the league was shook, teams couldn’t stop him the dude was electrifying with a big arm launching bombs utilizing the RPO! Mike Shanahan drafting Kirk Cousins the same year was interesting but proved to be a decent draft pick. What started out as super fun to watch turned out to be super tense towards the end of the year culminating to the playoff game against Seattle.

I brought my Ravens Friend ( we always bring each other when they play. Should be every year along with many other rivalries across the NFL, instead of 4 years). This was a great game, one of most memorable games for me at least. Had plenty of offense & scoring back and forth; and when defense on both teams made a play, it was big momentum changing play! Sack, INT, Fumble! Garson and Bolden were to great Wide Receivers, who had very similar skills and talents, including both being tall, well built strong & tough WRs, who absorbed contact without it slowing them down and kept going. Wish they both had stayed for Baltimore and Washington longer then just a few years! But Unfortunately this game that will always be remembered as the game that led to end of RG3 career after the hit by Nata, and his knee bent wrong way! Seeing ot happen felt like Slow Motion, and just getting off field without a stretcher was shocking. I'm honestly glad they didn't show it in this video, as its a 1 of those things you wish you could forget|! He came back into game, WTF? Then after missing final 5 weeks, they started him in Playoff game, and in game, everyone knew he wasn't mobile which made him so great until that injury, (Cousins drafted 4th round sane year),. So I think it was 2nd quarter & 2nd Sack, he couldn't get up and image of him lying there not even moving is the lasting image of RG3 many of us have. Especially for us who could hear him sxream in pain ! . Seattle won game, Cousins threw 2 TDs & 2-3INT's !!! Adidas had signed him, had marketing campaign "All in for Week One" which put time on recovery that should have taken a full year or longer to fully recover would now be done in under 8 months. He somehow played most of 2013, , but couldn't run & without setting feet struggled to pass accurately! 2014 came the knockout blow! Bam Out of football!. Credit to him as he did comeback as a backup for 4 years, 3 with Baltimore, which was a good story and career ended with him on his feet!! Not laying on field! But A Washington Victory at home over the Ravens had meant that the Ravens would win the Super Bowl as they did that year! And in 2000! 4 years ago Lamar screwed that up with 5-7 TD''s, 3+ passing and 1-2 running & Ravens won at Washington by 30-40+ pts, but knocked out of Playoffs by Tennessee at home! They play this year on October 13th, in Baltimore so maybe if the Ravens, as one of best teams, lose to Washington who'll likely be 1 of worst teams, the tradition may be recreated & doesn't have to be away at Washington

I'm kinda sad Joe's never gonna wear a Ravens jersey anymore. We had some good times.

Obviously there’s the big hit at the end, but it also looked like RG3 hurt that knee on the play at 6:49 …Wonder if that helped contribute to the injury??

Looking back on the super brief RGIII era in DC is always depressing. RGIII had the makings of a great QB, but since that injury, he's never been the same.
