No it's $35 not including tips this is my hair salon. But im not sure if its cheaper if u have short hair. I have long. The prices went up like crazy since covid. Honestly it's still cheaper than ur typical American places but it used to be $20+ for wash and blow out. Now it's $35. Wash, Cut, Blow out used to be $35-38 if you have long hair. Now it's like abt $50-55. Also if you're going on a weekend make sure u build in ur schedule an hr or so. Cause it's almost always at about 30 min wait. Its located in Chinatown, NYC but this place is constantly packed since a lot of non Asian ppl go here now. Also if ur looking for nice, clean chic...this is not the place. The couches is so dented u slump in

I actually went to a salon like this, the prices were really cheap and “free” massages were handed out and so were snacks but there was a catch. Once I was done they straight up got to the point and asked for a tip. I was shocked, i gave the a 15 dollar tip and they got mad and made me pay more. Unbelievable experience.

The salon is providing a service. and with any service it is social protocol to tip. If you didn't offer a tip, they were calling you out on your disrespect and your lack of knowledge of social protocol. They probably asked you for more because they didn't want you to come back.

Nobody can "make" you pay more. A tip is always optional. If you didn't want to leave it, you didn't have to. They can pressure you, of course, but they can't decide for you. So it's your fault that you gave in. But it's ok, if you learn from your mistakes!
