If your belt isn’t the right length the tensioner won’t carry enough pressure and will hop ribs at high rpm, but another thing it will do is make an a/c pulley rattle. The tensioner has a little indicator on it and it needs to be pointing at the middle marker when spinning with no load. Most “kits” that i have used the belt has been slightly oversized. If it lines up with the first marker then you’ll need a belt 10-15mm shorter.

Love your work, keep it going can’t wait till it’s done, But I do have to say I do love a shorty but a full size wagon just gets the tick off approval. Love the space and unlimited spots of space you can use up for 12v, storage ect. 👌🏼

Shorty great as a fun truck. Wagon for the tourer. As for Guy's noise issue is the belt tensioner tapping on minimum adjustment? Maybe a 5mm longer belt will solve the issue.

Can't wait to see the end result. You are doing a great thing. I think a wagon are the best of both worlds as you can get to set up a great draw system and fridge. And also no need to have any swags,tents as you can sleep inside them. Don't get me wrong the short wheel base on the 2 door has its advantages also.

I love the shorty as I had an 84 turbo diesel in my early twenties. That thing went everywhere and further than any other 4x4 but now I’m older and a paraplegic I’d prefer a wagon. I’ve left a message for you before Sam but I didn’t get a response. I would like to know the measurement from the ground to the top of the seat base when the bags are deflated. Cheers guys

I would check that the belt tensioner is all good, I've heard that it can cause a knock. The spring loose there original tension as they get older, wear out, and whatnot.
