The best 4x5 film camera to travel with? First Impressions of the Intrepid 4x5 MK4.

My first impressions of the Intrepid MK4 4x5 camera after taking it to the beach. I talk through my initial reactions as well as some issues that I had as well as some possible solutions. I showcase some of the images that I was able to take as well.

Glad to be of help! The bag I'm using is the Lowerpo ProTactic 450 AW. I've used cheaper bags in the past but they were always lacking and/or hurting my back. I absolutely love this one and really think it's worth the money for it. Lugging around gear all day is killer with a bad bag.

Thank you! I bought my lens and board on ebay. It ended up being a little more than I thought it would be - $245 for a Fujinon 135mm 5.6 but I'm super happy with the results. I go over the pricing in my unboxing video but the grand total for the camera, lens and gear was around $600, which is pretty great for a camera like this.

Nice work. Looks like your rear standard might need tightening. Inserting film holders vertically creates quite a bit of torque at the base. Which is where some people grip it to compensate.

The quality comes from the Lens, not the camera.

Yes indeed but the movements come from the camera which is why I'm enjoying this particular camera so much.
