Kin'emon exuded confidence, which is important in leadership. Even a perfect plan might not work if the people that are participating don't believe in it. The other pirates literally had no way of knowing anything different than what he said, but the other Akazaya Nine members DID go along with his explanation because he was sure of himself. This turned out to be very lucky in this situation. The two OG Oden followers 'teamed up' for a great turnout, better than anyone expected! There's still great stuff happening even before reaching Onigashima (and they do know how to throw a party!)
