To add: Israel broke multiple rules, such as harassing other delegations and press and the commentator of the live show discriminating against certain artists. There were no consequences for them. Meanwhile, Joost allegedly broke a camera during a moment where he explicitly asked not be filmed and got disqualified. The EBU is not even trying to hide those double-standards, it's so frustrating

It's because technically, Israel isn't participating in Eurovision, a delegation of a national news broadcaster from Israel is. And they haven't broken EBU rules. Same reason why Russia wasn't disqualified in 2008 or 2016, and it took a lot of pressure from the participating (big) broadcasters to get them disqualified in 2022. The EBU has always insisted that the contest is apolitical, and the public has repeatedly shown no issue with that (e.g. Russia winning the televote in 2016). The real question is, why weren't they seeing consequences for the rule breaks during Eurovision week? For harassing other delegations, e.g. taking and posting pictures without consent, pictures with insulting comments no less. And the same goes for the press delegation, who also have a bunch of allegations of this kind against them as of now. If the Netherlands get disqualified for breaking the rules, why not Israel too?
