There's 100% a taste difference between Coke and Pepsi. The only difference is they are colas. They taste wildly different otherwise. Pepsi is way sweeter and smooth while Coke has more bite and has more of a refreshing taste.

Diet Sodas and Zero Sugar sodas are not actually bad for you. The amount of alternative you need to consume in 1 sitting for it to be "bad" for you is an absurd amount that most people don't consume in a year.

From my understanding on Diet Coke; after you drink it, the chemicals act like sugar in the body but fail to tell the brain so your brain looks for more sugar, so you tend to eat/crave sugar elsewhere.

My faves currently are Orange Sunkist Zero Sugar and Cherry Coke Zero Sugar. Both those hit hard af. I have a 2 can a day habit. As far as Ginger Ale, not a big fan, but in the Kentucky area they have a Mountain Dew/ginger ale hybrid called Ale8 that is actually pretty good. Also on the east coast in the Carolinas they have Cheerwine which I enjoy a bunch, it’s a cherry flavored soda.

I have a can of Power Rangers soda and a can of Biker Mice From Mars soda. Expiration date puts them over 20 years old. Both are from England. I seen a can of the Power Rangers soda sell for $150 a couple years ago. Been trying to find out info on them, but haven't found much other then the one that sold. Guessing they are pretty rare and wasn't sold here in the US. I found them at a garage sale, have another strange kind also that was with them ( has a pink blob man on it ) along with a orange and a 7up.

diet and zero sodas are worse than regular sodas. those alternative sweeteners actually make you crave for more sugar. its true that mcdonalds coke is different mix from the coke from other food chains. lastly i prefer bottled soda, as in glass bottles, that the plastic or in can. bottled soda taste different from the plastic bottle or in can.

I could for sure make some slight changes to this list and also Curtis is 100% mental saying people can't tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi, Pepsi is way more sweet! The reason those the blind taste tests say otherwise is because they were rigged that way FYI. All that aside, the real reason for this comment is to say that, though I agree fully that 7up is like a crappy knock off Sprite, wait until mid November or early December come around and look for Pomegranate 7up! I call it Christmas crack cause it's so addictive!! I love it so much that I wrote to the company and asked why they only sell it at that time. Apparently it's a mystery because the email I got back said they sell it year round and that I could buy it online if I wanted which is false because they don't even mention it on their website, only the cherry which is disgusting. Btw for maybe the 2 people that'll care, my top 3 from that list particularly are Dr Pepper, Coke and Cactus Coolers. Another great podcast guys and congratulations Riff, I'd love to quit drinking soda but just keep failing!!

Anything with refined sugar or artificial sweetner is bad for you and should be consumed as little as possible. If you are going to consume sweeteners try to make it ones that are processed as little as possible (ray honey, raw sugar cane, etc.) Refined sugar is bad for you because any semblance of nutrition it may have had has been stripped away. This being said, everything in moderation, and every once in a while you gotta let yourself have that refined/processed/artificially-sweetened treat
