Good selections. Of course, you have to consider the person's tastes as well, but these are three great action recommendations. I will keep an eye out for this series, as I also like to recommend anime, so maybe I can refer people to this series from now on. 0:55 Looking at my own MyAnimeList, I have watched 1003 anime since I started watching in the 90s, though for this metric, different seasons of a show and/or special episodes count as separate anime, so I am there with you, plus or minus.

thats honestly why i stopped trying to update MAL. I understand why its that way but it got very tedious trying to go back

@@aburnsy I only started using MAL during the pandemic lockdows. Before that, I only kept track of what I watched on a word file (series title, episodes watched, and if finished, title would be in blue color). Therefore, I had time to spare to move all my series to MAL. I only update a series on MAL when I finish watching it, I drop it, or when I select I plan to watch it.
