Ellen is the inspiration and Yousician is the tool that got me into and playing bass this year. Having a blast. I hope to be as good as her someday. It's like Guitar Hero for learning but your playing the real thing. It listens to you and corrects you. I have introduced many people to it including a guitar teacher at a community college. It really works! I would never endorse something that sux. But, if you want to learn fast, do it.

I seen your video and hearing about the musician app you kind of rekindled my interest in learning how to play the bass. I can play drums well and always wanted to play bass. I found a really nice one pretty cheap on Amazon with amazing sound . Great video.

Hehe, you are a natural for this commercial :) I bet it's a nice APP for people to use, I use ears, youtube and tablatures with rhythm tabs. A friend of mine used something similar OR maybe is was yousician i can't recall but he learned a bit of guitar thanks to it, and for him that dont have that great ears it was a good virtual teacher.

Sweet! Really nice ad spot, well done! Someone does a great job with editing. That is the one thing I dread. What editing software would you say is the easiest to use. No color grading, just putting clips together and adding titles and audio track(s). Have a great week!

Yousician is great for practicing. It makes it really fun. It is not very good for learning an instrument however.

Tried it and it wasn't for me. I found the lessons to be very limited, the quizzes lacked instructions, and am not a fan of reading tab where you can't see ahead very well. They song selection was pretty varied and there was a lot to choose from. I'd say it's a good app for kids, and less so for adults.

Hi Ellen, I see that you are curling the smallest finger of your right hand, which unnecessarily engages the forearm muscles and will be burdensome during a longer concert or technically difficult playing. Grab your right forearm with your left hand and curl your smallest finger. With your left hand you will feel the tension of the muscles that move each finger. I know that the pleasure of playing and expression do not allow you to focus on such things, but maybe it is worth working on it? I'm a medicine man and a classical guitarist, I don't know how to control this tension, but it's a waste of energy. I think so. BTW, I admire and sincerely support you.
