And that’s not for the ultra which is made of titanium and is significantly more expensive to produce. At least be accurate in the things your just randomly spewing. Every manufacturer does this btw, there has to be a profit margin for a company to run. Yeah, people complain about the markup, but what about the tens if not hundreds of millions sunk into the legacy of the system? WatchOS and the hardware, as well as the designers, the QA… etc not to mention marketing and logistics. To get to this ultra you had so many people’s work and knowledge building off of one another over decades. That in essence is what copyright protects against, the intangible things that brought you the Apple Watch. The physical components themselves probably cost very little to manufacture. Not $20 but probably $100 to $200. The rest is you’re paying for the knowledge and expertise for them to bring a product of that caliber to you.

I got this replica watch out of curiosity and let me tell you I am impressed with the quality of it. It has many good features, the speaker is ok. My favorite feature is Blood pressure measurement that it’s pretty spot on. The only flaws I don’t like is that it only has the 24h military time and the caller id its only for the favorite contacts on your phone. Besides that is pretty good. I also have the original Ultra you can tell them apart on slightly color difference.

I use to work in Rockford Fosgate assembly plant in Phoenix Az. They also owned "Lightning Audio". I literally saw them pull two capacitors out of the same box, which were made by some other company. They put a Rockford sticker on one, and a Lightning Audio sticker on the other. Then sent them down separate lines to be boxed up, shipped, and sold. The Lightning Audio capacitor sold for about $90 at the time. The Rockford sold for almost $300. They were EXACTLY THE SAME THING, and Rockford didn't even make them. What makes you think Apple and other companies don't do the same thing. These watches are probably made by the same company, Apple just puts their name brand on them and charges 100 times more for them.

That’s not how that works… I live in Tempe and have worked for Rockford for 2.5yrs. Name is Jim. So if you did work there I’d likely know of you by name ? Firstly you don’t just slap stickers on stuff, casings are different, specs are different, etc . Of course some things are similar or even the same smaller pieces of tech but we’ve never produced the exact same “blank” capacitor and put two different stickers on them and priced them differently. Proceed ahead a few feet and on your right was a clean room where they installed the surface mount components onto the boards. On the left were the assembly lines for the amps where they installed through hole components like transformers. The lines were situation with production personnel on the far side from the door you entered. With one technician on the near side at the far end of each line. After final assembly a simple pass fail test was performed which certified the exact stats of each amp. If the amp failed it was passed to the tech to diagnose and repair. That's where I worked. I was the line tech for the 2nd line. There were 4 lines front to back with a 5th perpendicular to the rest at the back end. Next to that "was" the capacitor line where I witnessed many times the operator taking capacitors out of the same box. These capacitors had no labels, and were not manufactured on site. I don't know where they got them but they were all identical. That operator would put them on two small assembly lines which put a Rockford sticker on one, and a Lightning audio sticker on another. In the local audio shops, I personally saw both caps for sale with almost $200 price difference between them. On another note I also worked primarily on rockford amps but on rare occasions we would get a dump of lightning audio amps which were not typically worked on in that factory but I guess some times they got behind. Seeing both amps inside and out and dealing with the various issues they can have I can say for certainty that at least back then, the rockford amps were far superior to the lightning amps and the extra price for them was certainly justified. It just wasn't for the capacitors.

Highly doubt it, clones of all kinds of hardware are getting easier to do & more accurate every day. It’s very clear that this does not hold up to the same build quality. I’d love to see a pic of the internals, that would resolve it for certain
