Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, and a successor to 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Set in the 9th century, the player controls Eivor, a Viking raider and Assassin during the Viking invasion of Britain. The game is scheduled for release in late 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia, and is to be Ubisoft's launch title for the next-generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In Valhalla, the player takes on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider who leads their fellow Vikings from Norway in raids and battles against King Aelfred and the four Anglo-Saxon medieval kingdoms of England - Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, and Mercia - near the end of the 9th century as part of the Viking invasion of Britain. Additionally, the game will continue to tie into the modern-day events related Abstergo Industries' researcher Layla Hassan, who was featured in both Origins and Odyssey, and to the Templars and Assassins that have tied the series together.
Players will have the choice of playing Eivor as either male or female and are further able to select their hair, warpaint, clothing and armor. Combat has been changed to allow dual wielding of almost any weapon. The "Eagle Eye" mechanics are also expected to return in the form of a raven that will be Eivor's animal companion in the game. The player can use the raven to scout the nearby areas as previous avian companions had done in Origins and Odyssey. The game will rely less on a traditional leveling system and instead focus more on the selection of skills through skill trees selected by the player as Eivor advances through the game. Enemies will be rated based on the collection of skills. The skills trees will be similar to those found in The Witcher, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Player choices through conversation or gameplay options will have impacts on the characters and their political alliances with other non-player characters.
A central feature of the game is the settlement that the player, as Eivor, will help build and lead during the game. Ismail described its importance as "a lot of what you're doing in the game world is, at the end of the day, going to feed into the settlement so that it can grow, it can flourish." The player will be able to direct construction of certain types of buildings which in turn provide benefits for gameplay. To build these structures, the player will need to lead the vikings on raids to collect resources. Naval combat will return, though more as a means of faster medium for travel for performing such raids, and for escaping after land combat, rather than in engagement with other naval vessels.
Valhalla is a single player game, but will include online components for the purpose of encouraging players to share their progress and creativity.

Some alterations I'd suggest would be to swap the bow for the Spartan Bow which gives 30% crit chance on every dodge, like, just dodging towards the enemy to get in range gives crit chance for 2,5 seconds. Load all Weapons with crit runes, that's when the 2 and 5 set boni will shine. Get one rune that adds firedamage on crit in the mainhand and one fire wall on parry on the offhand. You'll almost instantly get fire on your weapon and the buildup with spears is insane. Enemies almost burn instantly which does a lot more damage than poison. Just my thoughts on this. I played what you suggest a while and it is definitely great but fire hurts a lot more. The 5 pieces set bonus of Mentor's is as good as the 2 pieces Bonus of Draugr only that you don't depend on poison.

395 and still playing this build. Mentor set with dual spear is really nice. There is a greater rune which gives crit chance based on your weight. This fits really good with mentor set cause its very light. You domt need the viper bow later on cause you will get a greater rune with this perk.

I've been using the same gear since I got Fafnir's Fang and I've also been running a crit build. The poison ticks healing is really cool, I didn't realise that. I've personally been using the Spartan Bow (Ubisoft Club reward) and I think it's better than the Viper Bow. Why? Viper Bow gives +3-30 crit chance with a 2 second buff duration. So you only get +30 if you manage to hit a target 10 times, at least once every 2 seconds. It's not always possible to achieve this (i.e. zealots with heavy shields, some bosses, etc.). The Spartan Bow instantly gives you +30 crit chance with 2.5 second duration after dodging. I don't know about anyone else, but I mainly dodge to avoid damage. Given that the Fyrd Spear gives +10 speed after dodging, the Spartan Bow synergises really well with the Fyrd Spear and the Brush With Death skill.

Mournful Cry (Drauger Hammer) has to land a critical hit to activate the poison. This makes it a very rare proc if in the off hand. It's Wolf Tree based also. Does not provide its effect if your main hand crits. Using Poison Strike is your main way to keep poisons up for healing. Main hand Mournful Cry and Off hand Suttugr's Claw dagger is a great combo if you want to go the hammer route since you spent the money on it. :)

I run this build to 3 mentor armor 2 thygns. The spear in right hand and the blacksmiths hammer in left. With the 🔥 ability, and the skill cremation. Very good and strong build if you want to go the fire route and not poison. Im power lvl 220 and melting ppl on hard now. 👍. Great video also🙏

You can melt ppl with almost any gear at lvl 220 if you know how to put points. 2 Daggers is actually the strongest in terms of mean time to kill but harder to play.

Resting in your bad also restore adrenaline and health. Holding dodge you do roll and put out if you are on fire, that is the same like in Origin and odyssey, useful if you are playing with fire :)

I have a tank build with brigadin set of whatever it’s called. I have 6 health runes on my armor with grit perk is so good. Also the reckless perk helps with tank build. I have so much health and I get healed by attacks I rarely use my rations

I've been playing a build pretty close to this for several days and have learned a few things. 1. To do decent tic damage, you have to go pretty hard on +poison damage. Just isn't it otherwise. 2. Most zealots I've fought and at least two of the sisters seem to be immune to poison. This could be a difficulty setting thing, as I play on second hardest difficulty 3. The morrigans shield is a good off-hand, 33% proc of poison cloud on parry

Dual wielding the Yngling Seax and Suttunger's Claw kills way faster than these weapon options if you are not into poison / fire when paired with the Mentor's set. You will not lose the speed gain from breaking the set bonuses, also the procs are off the chart and adrenaline is never an issue with the attack speed. Throw in the fact that your weight will be below 50 plus the dodge procs = better than any other weapon combo sans poison / fire. You will basically stun lock individual opponents and because you never run out of stamina you will be proccing the slow mo dodge constantly.

Two things, first Reda is still bugged and I can't speak to him, ist there any solution to this, because it drives me crazy, I dont wanna finish the story without even seeing into Redas shop for once (except when he arrives)? The other thing, how the fk do u upgrade everything to mythical, I' dont have the iron for that and I also dont see how to acquire so much of it...? Honestly to farming iron and leather you just need to open all the small yellow crates or buy from store. You can easily farm up the silver by doing an easy drinking game. Spiffing Brit has a video that shows the location of the drinking game I play to farm up the silver to buy the leather and iron.

Just travel from shop to shop you can get 1000 iron pretty quickly also the waterfall in your settlement has a endless iron spawn. Just save and reload. 10 to 20 iron chunks per round. Adds up quick

Honestly you can go through the game just cosplaying and spamming whatever weapon without the need of real builds. I am currently using the thegn set with the gallgolach cape and pants (mainly cape for looks and pants for the effect) and just Excalibur and no offhand. Maybe the Briton shield cause it matches but the sword gets stupidly slow. I just add the one health regen rune on parry to Excalibur to kinda get the effect of the Briton shield.

I totally agree! There is no need to do specific builds or stuff to make it easier in the game. The combat is very easy and the stats and perks provided with weapons and armor is kinda irrelevant, except a few things. I am playing on hardest combat but meh, after playing ghost of tsushima on lethal+, this games combat pales in comparison. I know combat is not this games main ”thing” but the gear and weapons stats, perks etc feels very lazy done.

Spartan bow is way better than viper bow same amount of increase for just dodging instead of firing an arrow at all its +30 Crit chance for 2.5 sec after a dodge. The viper bow is also only up to +30 but for 2s and you have to build up the damage with the spartan bow its instant

Found an endless iron farm in the waterfall behind your settlement save and reload like the tungsten farm. You get about 10/20 iron chunks per round.

Has anyone received a duplicate of a weapon I haven’t my entire number play through but I just completed all legendary animals and got a duplicate of a 2 handed Dane ax called vordrs bite so now I have 2 of them just wanted to make sure it’s not a game breaking bug

Its a glitch I've had it happen as well. The only way to fix it right now is to load a old save. People say it has something to do with buying or collecting tattoos which I'm inclined to agree with because the glitch happened to me right after I bought all the tattoos in the settlement shop and went to change it.

It is sorta game breaking because if you try to level up that duped weapon the game will use the materials but not give you the upgrade itself.

Yeah I randomly got a piece of blue/flawless galloglach armour before I found it in a chest and then when I did find it in a chest I got the orange/superior one and now I have both and it’s kind of annoying not being able to sell it or anything

I need help with this game. I’m like level 83, I’ve finished the Asgard part and the next part of the main quest which is Jutenhaim it says I need to be level 190. I don’t understand what I need to do in between, if there are some other main story quests in between those levels, or what I can do. I feel stuck.

pledge yourself to another area. Go do missions here. Explore. FInd stuff. Power up. All you need to do is speak to randvi

You can leave jutenhaim and come back whenever you want to by going back to valkas hut in your settlement and drink the potion. If you are only level 83 there are a whole bunch of missions you can still do by visiting randvi and pledging to certain territories.
