A fun build that I am enjoying at the moment is Thegn's Armor with Suttungr's Claw and Briton Shield. Parries heal you for 15% from the shield the dagger increases crit damage after each hit stacks up to 10 times

Mentors armor is great but the other armor has way to many limitations making it useless. Might as well pair mentors with Brigidine armor for added armor when surrounded. You still get plenty of damage from mentors and you can still do high damage when striking NPC’s in back and on the ground as well.

As soon as you can buy Skadi's Wrath (light bow), get the two skill books for Focus of the Nornir, and then get all four ability slots from your skill tree.... you can easily get the Excalibur. Heavy finishers and Crits. blind all enemies around you. And you can't get that spear until end game, so....

A soldier flail and heavy shield (round spike with some fur on it) is best combo. A can destroy many heavy opponents with simple dodge-block. Or additionally charge in with evasion button and swing with flail. It has a perk of increasing speed. 2 spear are also nice. However, u can't get 2nd nice spear early in the game

I stopped playing ac games on pc because there are always problems coming with them. The game freezes when the controller disconnects, crashes to desktop and so on. The graphics quality is superior on pc, but with the new consoles it's the perfect alternative. Console is the way to go with ac games, never had any problems so far

Funny you post this because that’s what I’ve been doing! I’ve found for me personally the best looking combo in game for all mythical armor is Thegns cloak and bracers with mentors trousers and mask (hidden) but with the magister chest. You get the set bonus from mentors and thegns but the magister lends to the assassin look so well with all the gold/bronze accents throughout the pieces tying in nicely without looking like a hulking knight on a tightrope.

Full Thegn's Set with Thegn rune, weapons Excalibur and Scimitar both with a + Crit Chance per Hit special rune and 2 greater speed runes on the others (Scimitar is the weapon for this week in Reda's). On the rest of the set I use greater armor runes on cloak and helm, greater HP on chest, and bracers and pants greater - weight runes. That's the build I'm using, and it's kind of broken. You parry once and goodbye everyone around you. You're like an unstoppable dual wielding maniac !

When you kill/hit enemies you build up adrenaline but if you get hit without filling up the adrenaline bar it becomes empty but if you fill the bar and get hit your good you don't lose it

Btw 5/5 thegn armor give 20 critical damage bonus while 2/5 mentor gives u only 15 While not to use 5/5 thegn? Same with bow headshots (critical damage bonus outweights 5/5 headshot damage bonus on assassin's armored 5/5 set) Plus by u can focus on bear and wolf skills and use only wolf and bear gear to maximize effect Thegn is almost as good as brigantine armor, but perks look more useful, and it's slightly lighter, which give u 4 evasion steps with light bow / hunter bow and heavy shield and flail. (And rune weight upgrade)

@@cianiittv5730 his armor gives him a boost and it ends when he either attacks an enemy from behind or it ends when he attacks an enemy on the ground...so the hammer knocking them to the ground and he stomps on them it cancels the boost from the armor

both weapon need the same range (Speer/Speer) or (Hammer/Hammer) is much better as a mix. I play dual hammer with the Draugr Armor Set. The set boost stuntime and weaponspeed (good for the blacksmith-hammer) and a poisonproc from the other hammer boost attack for both weapons.

Don’t know, man, I really like hammer + spear combo. If I need longer reach, spear goes to the main hand, otherwise hammer is the primary weapon. Off hand spear attack is pretty cool, so it’s a win-win for me.

@@andrewc.4279 IMO i would go for Mentor. Teign is cool, but you loose it as soon as you hit someone in the back or on the ground (which happens a lot with a spear). Also, more Attack and Speed feels more powerful than more crit chance and crit dmgs (that you can still get with runes and weapons stats etc...). Test it and tell me :)

I don't understand the use of the blacksmith's hammer with the Thegn set. If you attack an enemy knocked to the ground, then surely you lose the additonal crit chance granted by the Thegn's set? I think that makes the use of the hammer pretty pointless tbh.

@A B I take down zealots easy, I'm playing on normal dificulty. Using the Fyrd spear in my main hand and the Carolingian pike in my offhand. Power level 173. So this set is about dodging and utilizing brush with death. So you dodge which triggers your spears. you do a jab combo on them and they dead. For Zealots, you dodge, dive of the valkyries and combo xD

I don’t think ppl know that the way of the raven/wolf/bear nodes in the tree affect weapons also so maybe do a vid on that

Am i the only one who wanted them to make some good use of the Mythical Gods weapons? Like with Mjolnir every critical hit or just a 10% (or any other %) of landing lightning strikes around you to do a small damage and stun enemies :D? Could be so good.

Honestly, I am not a fan of these situational perks. These become less useful when fighting 1 on 1 bosses. I, much rather have perks that are not situational. So for example, I prefer: > Increases X stat by X amount and it raises the more targets you hit or surround you. This way it's always useful. And to be honest, I find the perks in AC:Odyssey much more fun than these boring perks. I just got a rune that gave X stat at NIGHT! Why the hell handicaps me to play at night, I don't even like the nighttime. My request to Ubisoft is, make more PLAYER POWER type perks and stop with those situational perks.
