The Best Auto Top Off: Tunze Osmolator 3155 v Red Sea 3 in 1 ReefATO+

I have been using the Tunze Osmolator 3155 for over 4 years and is arguably the best Auto on the reefing market however there is a new kid on the block causing a stir in the reefing market. I have been using the Red Sea 3 in 1 ReefATO+ for the past few months and in this video they will be going head to head for the first time.

Thanks Jay. I agree the Tunze is top drawer and sooo reliable even if Ste managed to break his 🤣🤣🤣. If Red Sea is as reliable as tunze then it will be the best with a great app and tank monitoring

best ato in my opinion is a gravity fed float valve - cheap, reliable, consistent, and silent

Thanks for watching. I had a gravity fed on another tank for almost 7 years and worked ok. Did get clogged up from time to time but all in all a good choice. This tank also had 1 but got clogged too often and RO container was too small so time for an upgrade 👌🏻 to the Red Sea

The pump is loud and louder than the Red Sea ATO

The Osmolator is no longer available in Australia anymore mine died after 15 years the only option was the Red Sea or reef factory the read sea was $385t the reef factory was $498 and comes with no pumps. So it’s an easy one just the Red Sea but time will tell if it’s as good as or better than the Osmolator. A little disappointed so far with the Red Sea as it keeps telling me the reservoir is empty when it has pumped only 1 lt of the 5 it has

Thanks for watching. I had the same issue with reservoir but adjusted the length of pipe and height of feed in the app and it is now ok. That is definitely something that is inaccurate and needs tinkering with.

Tunze are bringing out a wifi model but the price is going to be higher than Redsea I would think…Red sea for the win for me.

@@fishpalace I agree, they have dropped the ball, they have just released the osmolator 3 which is still a very basic ato,similar price as RS, only a quieter pump which it should have been in the first place and dropped the float switch for 2 sensors, the osmolator pro will be wifi but the cost will be silly I expect.
