In my 36 years of life I never thought I would see Goku let alone Luffy in the parade. Now they both are in it. Anime truly has come along way it's no longer something you hide in fear of getting bullied. Everyone is watching it. Akira Toriyama may you rest easy your creation has touched the hearts of the whole world. I'm so happy my country the U.S is celebrating Dragon Ball and One Piece as a part of our Culture. Oda and Toriyama are truly LEGENDS.

My millennial as was nearly in tears never thought I'd see two of the greatest characters in anime celebrated here in the U.S let alone the Macy's parade. I mean no one is truly understanding how insane it is. This parade has been around nearly a Century it's an American staple apart of U.S culture and to have not only one, but two Japanese anime characters representing in the parade is such a cultural moment. It's the U.S way of saying "We love anime. Thank you Japan for these two amazing character. We celebrate their legacy". It's just amazing.
