As someone who owns the City Commander Armour, the Dia Commander Armour, the Protector set and the trailer they made for Classics/Henkei Prime, I REALLY hope they make trailers for the War for Cybertron trilogy Primes, including Shattered Glass, all being big enough to store other bots, and the Shattered Glass one having tons of weapons… but also reintroducing the mirror panels.

I still have this figure since 2006, despise the kibble in the arms, is well articulated, sturdy and it holds up very well. Unlike recent figures that are lacking in QC, this one doesn't. Nice armor upgrade.

The classics remain some of my favorite non-movie TF toys, though I no longer own them. I like this Optimus better without that armor... I would like to see Hasbro revisit the classic line with modern sculpting and technology...

Jujiang did a great job on upscaling this mold. AND you can remove the arm kibble and combine the kibble from both arms to make something I forgot....I think it was a shield.

Vangelus review actually influenced Several changes to this mold, wheb he reviewed a test sample back in the day. I think some of them were for the worse. There are some very good things about this upgrade set and some very disappointing thing about the set. If you think I'm a hater, He's actually my display op!

The changes to the arms are definitely a mixed bag. They make the truck look a lot better but they also fall off really easily now. Just seems like the overall fit and finish was a bit more solid on that preproduction version.

@@Dirge121 fit and finish would have been making some where for the guns to go when not using them and proper 5mm hand holes instead of a square holes that you can only use with the roof shotguns.

I really love that set especially for that bad-ass truck mode. The bot is a bit too kibbly though. As for the arm panels, contrary to all other parts they only hang by a thread. So I think I'll just say *F* it and super-glue/screw the things in place. For the overall price I paid, it will be fine. (I also threw the armor's packaging in the recycling bin anyway.)

If I had to get this Prime mold, I would try and get the SG repaint since I have the ER Prime (basically the reverse of what you had in the video). But the SG figure can be….pricey.

You can move the fingers under the gas tanks(I think that's what they are called). I got this and the ultra magnus colored one. Highly recommend them. Don't miss out on them

I wish I got this one special, I have the mold from the repack with a repaint of AOE Evation mode Optimus Prime, but that one has chrome upper legs. And I’m afraid to move it too much because the chrome plastic locks up sometimes and I’m extremely scared of it braking.

The screws used for classic optimus prime are very cheap and will strip easily so once you do this you will be unlikely to undone it.

I love this mould. Shame my version had trans-blue doors and the Megatron that came with had trans-red 'wings' . Think it was a 50th anniversary set. The translucent plastic kills the truck mode for prime but not so much the gun for Megatron. Is what it is.

If you don't have a lot of space and don't mind smaller figures: The War for cybertron CORE CLASS is amazing and will be getting a lot more figures down the line. Check out third-party companies like MECHFANSTOYS, NEWAGE, OR MAGIC SQUARE. For current mainline size War For Cybertron and Studio Series may be affordable for someone barring impulse buys and looking out for Wave Packs (examples: for Studio Series jazz is rare, but you can get him with Kup and Blurr for 60-80 bucks on Big Bad Toy Store, for War for Cybertron, Skywarp is ridiculously expensive, upwards to 150-250$ but you can avoid this by spending 70 to 100 on a two-pack with Thundercracker) Regardless of what you are looking for - COMPARE PRICES!

I think the blues on the legs would match if you had a Japanese Prime. Japanese Primes (Convoys) have a darker blue than their counterparts in other countries. I much prefer it. Edit: Never mind. You go on to say that . Then again, you knew that already.

@@ThatToyGuy Never found one that cheap on eBay, but anyway if you tuck his fingers under in vehicle mode it looks better, and I took Prime's legs apart and flipped his knees around so they lay flat in the down position in robot mode to fill that little hollow looking area on his legs, I think it looks better in both robot and truck modes, you should try it its reversible if you don't like it

I'm nostalgic for old CHUG era and recently got the prime after owning the megatron and jetfire since I was a kid and honestly just thought he was the weakest of the three, like if you lose a gun (or buy one without one) the alt mode is pretty screwed not that the guns even look great to begin with. And that arm kibble is just so much worse in person, For the upgrade kit, didn't even know it existed until now I've always wanted the rodimus or ultra magnus one out of nostalgia but man I can see why this one isn't talked about lol, that is just a straight up downgrade it really does just look like someone threw a bunch of scraps on the figure and said "This is powermaster prime, right?" Alt mode is kinda okay, but the way the front end sticks out just a little bit is so odd looking to me

Don't buy the KO Rodimus one. The flames in the chest don't pop out like they should. I've got the KO standard version and my pride and joy is the crystal version with the crystal Hot Rod from the Sons of Cybertron box set. The spoiler is gold chrome!

@@UnChannelDuVulpineX I used to have that crystal one with the Battle in Space Hot Rod. I think I preferred the spoiler wings to stay off, and gave him two hand pistols from an add-on set that included a sniper rifle for Perceptor etc. Dont have that stuff anymore, it was badass though
