For Bold hold Active she FaceTimes people to make sure they are putting it on correctly. She even did a live on tik ok and showed people how to Apply it. Then she literally hopped in the shower and ran water over it. It dated on. You just have to follow the bold hold steps correctly. She’s so passionate with helping people maybe you’ll reconsider her glue after watching more of her videos

I will have to try again. I bought some of her glue last year thinking it would work and it didn’t. I apply the Ericka J glue the same way and it stays on no matter what. But she could have revamped her formula since then so I guess it’s worth another try☺️

What is the strongest sweatproof/waterproof wig glue? Also how much force would it require for the wig to be pulled off? Would it be secure enough for active lifestyle?

Hey! I recommend Ericka J's Hold Me Down Glue. It's great and last me a week. I typically don't go any longer than a week because I like to have a fresh install for the weekend. I typically apply 4 layers and that keeps it in tact while I work out 3 times a week (high intensity), high humidity showers, and daily activities. I do recommend wrapping your lace frontal at night with an elastic band to protect it from lifting while you sleep. If you have sensitive skin Lace Grip is a great alternative.

I'm going to retry Erika J again I bought a bottle some time ago then started using bold hold active I have horrible hot flases..I cnt be redoing my wig everyday need a 2/3 week hold. Definitely use the skin protectant!!!

Yes! My favorite part about the Ericka J glue is that the dry time is very minimal. Now that I’ve been using the skin protectant spray my installs have a stronger hold even when I work out three times a week.

Try using Ericka J’s hold me down glue or Quality Finesses glue. I’ve used both and they work well as sweat proof glues. Quality Finesse is just a little bit on the messier side so I don’t recommend it for beginners

Lmao just take a break cause if you keep gluing; take off; glue again you’re not letting your head breath😹sorry to say it. When you take it off just use something that isn’t glue and was your skin too. But more so take a break for a 1-3 days from using glue

@@jmonaebeauty1077 Nooo don't give up! 😩 Try a skin protectant. I have really oily skin so I usually use a skin protectant and then wipe my hairline with alcohol just to make sure all the oil is cleaned off. You got this love 💕 You're very beautiful by the way 😍

if it ain’t sweat proof I ain’t buying. Erika j I apply without the recommended primer and my wig slides back, my sides don’t stay down all in less than 24hrs I just can’t get it together. I started using kiss almighty bond glue it’s pretty much the same but can go a little longer without sliding back no white residue or anything. There like the same but I have to master the installation because Im so tired of retouching every morning I have a lot of baby to hair to slick back n not much forehead space 😩

😂 I 100% agree. I made this video a while back but have noticed the same thing. Most of the time I wake up with a white cast around my edges and have to remove and reapply. Not sure if we’re doing something wrong or it’s the formula 😩 Btw love the little forehead space because mine has enough for a picnic and playground lol.

You are definitely not applying right. No shade bc I'm no hairstyle but I took my time used a headryer instead of blow dryer. But u gotta use the skin protectant b4 clean wit sea breeze ur hailine. I went to Colombia for5 days n she laid in place for 2wks. I sweat ALOT. I HOPE THIS HELP

Got 2 B Glue does not work for me but I don't use the bald cap method. It doesn't lay anything down.

I’ve been using my lace glue instead of Got2B and it really holds it down until I’m ready to reinstall my next unit. I would try that Got2B just leaves my skin dry and pulls out my edges when I sweat and the hair is still attached.

Bold hold has to be applied the way arrogant tae teaches and all 7 layers AND keep your edges wrapped whenever ur not doing anything

Hold Me Down is sweat proof if you add enough layers. I typically add 4-5 and that last me a week. I don’t go any longer than that because I like to wash my wigs weekly.

Do you clean the area where you’re applying the glue before you apply it? Sometimes our oils don’t allow the glue to dry properly. Also I would recommend working in sections. Glue one side down first and then start on the other side. I have to do that because one side dries quicker than the other.

Make sure when you’re using makeup on the wig cap you clean the area with alcohol before you put the glue, also when you’re using makeup on the lace make sure you spray behind it with got2b spray so it doesn’t cause the lace not to stick because of the dry makeup!

@@christinagordon1071 I have bought several other glues after buying wig dealer. I ALWAYS come back to wig dealer. I have ordered three different times. I don't get white residue and I spray it under my lace or over my lace. I LOVE IT!!! I really do not know how to install my wigs but with this glue, GIRLLL! Just but it. You will not be disappointed. On the other hand I have tried bold hold, bold hold liquid, Ericka J. I am just not good enough to eliminate the white residue that these produce. Oh yes Wig Dealer holds my wigs for at least 5 days & then I have to take it off. BTW I am over 50 & wear wigs constantly!!!

No I’ve never used a skin protectant. I’m going to try it and see if my installs last longer. But my wigs hold pretty well without it using other products like Ericka J and Quality Finesse. I tried two different Bold Hold glue products as well. It just wasn’t for me 😩
