I am new returning sportsman. I have shelved my love for fishing for at least forty years but because of my love for my grandkids I felt that I needed to give them an education on fly fishing. Trying to be ready the next season.thanks,

Thank you for posting. You will need to do a review on Pat Dorsey's new book Favorite flies for Colorado. So good.

The Feather Mechanic by Gordon van der Spuy is another good book that gives the history behind the pattern and explains each thread wrap, the how and why.

Hello Brian, New subscriber and new to fly fishing. Just purchased a steelhead combo and learning to cast in my backyard. My question is Should I be using my dominant hand to hold the rod or control the line? I am left hand dominant but use spin cast rods where I control the reel with my left hand. I have found that of all the fly fishing videos on YT, yours are the most informative and enjoyable to watch.

$100! Sounds great but does it come with a free whiting saddle hackle? 😬 nice book plug but hard to justify when tying material$ and tool$ aren’t cheap these days. 😳
