This is a drive I filmed in the Summer of 2001 that starts before the Tobin Bridge and goes through Boston on the Old I-93 overpass and ends at the MassPike on ramp. I hope you like it.

Thank you for Documenting this! ❤God, it brings back such good memories of being a kid traveling the Green Giant! Such simpler times. I wish we could have 1 day of every year to go back in time for 1 day. Not to make any changes, though that would be nice… Bur to re-live the fond memories we once had over again. As Edith & Archie Bunker would say… “ Those were the days”

That looks like heaven to me. In Seattle my 40 mile evening commute is usually 2 hours.

Coming in on the lower deck one day, I came off the exit for Storrow and around the first turn by the old Gahden (3:58 is a good shot of how it's somewhat blind), there was a car facing the wrong way trying to turn itself around. She apparently forgot to factor the little rain that was coming down, before flying over her head anyways. Good times.

In the late 90s I used to deliver electrical supplies in Boston and I hated that toll section. I'll be on the top level in a traffic jam and you could just feel the whole thing bouncing it would shake my truck up and down.

I got up before 5 am on a Sunday in July 2001 and jumped in my wife's Ford Wagon and filmed this drive just for you THE FUTURE. And it wasn't that hard to do. And that's how I did a lot of my shots. Once i noticed no one was video taping, I got permission to do it, FOR YOU, and did it. And I'm glad I did. I wonder if the Governer will give me back pay. I spent a lot of time on this documentary of Boston at the turn of the 21st Century 2000 FOR YOU Just incase some day you want to take a look of it. I thought it was worth every penny and I DID NOT SEE ANYONE DOING ANYTHING BUT BUST THEIR ASSES EVERYDAY WOMEN AND MEN PROUD SKILLED POEPLE/WORKERS LIKE ME, WORKING FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND I COUGHT IT FOR YOU ON TAPE. Luckily, because it was moving quick. AND MY KNEES WERE KILLIN

In all seriousness, the reason this film and the others I shot came out so good is because I didn't get paid for it. I did it for the love of KNOWING everyone will like to see this

I think every highway in America looks like heaven on Sunday morning at 7. I have rush hour footage of this same highway and it's hell.

The old 93 was congested all the time, due to the previous days of . They dug the tunnel for I93 (Kalian Tunnel AKA Freedom Tunnel) and re route the Mass Pike to go under the Ted Williams tunnel. This created the Rose Kennedy Greenway and as a result of the reroute of the Mass Pike to the Logan Airport, less congested traffic.

I was working on the job for almost a year, AND I DID NOT SEE ANYONE FILMING ANYTHING. And you wouldn't believe the stuff we where building. And after a while I was like FUCK IT, I'll do it. Excuse my French. My knee was killing me to, and I had to walk a million miles to get some of the shots I got or other things on the Dig. Thank you very much.
