Finally a recipe that uses fresh tomatoes!!! Edit: I meant shakshouka recipes, there is no need to comment rudely here

Canned whole tomatoes aren’t worse than fresh tomatoes in almost any application, it seems especially meaningless in this dish.
@user-bp8uk9tu4e Жыл бұрын
@@samaustin8690 i didnt say a word that implies canned tomatoes are bad. I just have easier access to fresh ingredients and i have always used them, hence i looked for a recipe that doesnt use canned, which will require extra effort to purchase

@@user-bp8uk9tu4e I didn’t imagine that scenario. To me it read like you were saying “Everyone else is getting it wrong, finally a recipe that uses fresh tomatoes”. Sorry for misunderstanding. You’re universes better than me though, I’ve never made the dish and only have tomato sauce on hand. Hoping it turns out edible.

@sirenwaves9296 Жыл бұрын
@@Arizzu_98 nope just tomatos spices and eggs! It's honestly just a western culture thing to put cheese or other dairy products int everyting you make. Fun fact every person on this plant is lactose intolerant,our bodies arent evolved enough to digest lactose properly, some of us simply handle it better with less severe reactions. But all of us should be avoiding animal lactose as much as possible and honestly once you cut back on how often you're using it you kind realize it takes away from a lot of dishes rather than adding anything good to it 🤷🏻♀️

My mother would make this EVERY sunday with a hot cup of moroccan tea, the best memories❤️ this is her recipe which i still use today; - 1 or 2 white onions, sliced - 3 fresh tomatoes, diced - 1 green turkish pepper - 1 tsp minced garlic - 1 tsp ras el hanout - 1 tsp smoked paprika - 1 tsp black pepper - 1 tsp turmeric - 1 tsp cumin - salt - eggs (based on how many people are eating, we usually do 4) - parsley and coriander Bake the onions, tomatoes, green peppers until goldenbrown and add the minced garlic and all the herbs/spices. Lastly add the eggs and put the lid on to let them cook. Eat it with fresh turkish or Moroccan bread and sweet tea 🤌🏻
