The Best Brushless Tiny Whoop For the money: bit.ly/2p4cc5G
@firstpersonq23466 жыл бұрын
Agreed, best whoop I got so far Had it for a few days.The battery cage is a little bit to loose fitting tho.Put a slice o foam and it works just fine.i think it might be on purpose to accommodate puffy's.only real complaint is the brittle frame, crashed on cement and broke in a few places, thanks to Nick burn's welders glue suggestion.beta75x outside and uk65 inside.(really wanted that sweet sweet American flag aesthetic.Merica!)

Where to get batteries and charger?
@firstpersonq23466 жыл бұрын
@@emotionalbeats7178 I would recommend the UK/US65mm, I believe it still comes with a charger and three batteries. Go to Goodwill and get a 12v power supply for their charger. I would also recommend the crazypony 2pcs CX405 1s lipo USB charger. 8 ports, high voltage, 10$ on Amazon, smart enough to be safe. they do burn out eventually though. Also get a 6 pack of GNB 260mah HV 4.35v 30/60c batteries. You'll never stop flying 😎

I have to weight in. I'm a hardcore whooper and over time I have found an awesome formula. My brushed fly just as good but... The price, rssi, smart audio, osd, d-shot, 21 grams... Oh my gosh.... Again the price... I hate to say it but...you can't go wrong. Great flying.

Got mine today. I totally agree with you, it is an excellent brushless whoop. On mine, I didn't have to send the RSSI back from the transmitter over an aux channel. The RSSI is sent to the OSD over SPI. You just have to make sure that no RSSI aux channel is set in the Receiver tab.

Thank you so much for the setup help. It seems like a lot of the Betaflight changes you recommended are now standard on this whoop, but some are still not . I struggled with mine for a day with the control setup on my Jumper, but it eventually let me win. Your setup made it even better and I learned a lot about what the settings do. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Texas.

I've had the UR65 for a few months now and I love it. It's a cut above any brushed whoops I've built, and turtle mode is amazing. The only modification I recommend is replacing the props with Eachine E010 ones, which seem to be much less noisy and perform a little better. I even tried another set of the UR65 props and they still rattled, but the Eachines are great!

EDIT _ Mine finally turned up today (10-15-18) and it came with instructions (better than average), 3 and 4 bladed props, and 3 batteries. Still setting up, but it looks great. Thanks Andy! Wow - a real Quad you can fly indoors. It does all the things I could never get about a dozen whoops to do! You're right Andy, the only downer I see here is the paint job. I love USA, and have a soft spot in my heart for you Brits, but damn, they butchered both flags. Neither does the country's real thing justice. I guess we're just going to have a painting party with the air brush some afternoon. It sure doesn't look like the guts will go in a Whoop frame, especially the motors. Thanks for the heads up on the whoop and how about a rundown on your fine looking collection of music making equipment some day? The recent music video and the whoop flyby are just a tease.

I have the original UR65 version of this and I don't feel like I'm missing out tbh. I think the Union flag hydro dipping on this looks sloppy and the extra KV doesn't make enough difference, but smart audio would have been nice, but no real biggy. I have mine running Mockingbird v3 tune and it's flying great.

Hi Andy, your review convinced me and I've been setting mine up tonight. A quick update on my experience - I had to use D8 mode on the taranis to bind as it has European firmware, D16 does not work - no biggy.... Except, there seems to be a limitation with D8 and LUA Scripts which is non resolvable, at least thats what my research has revealed. I heard you say in your vid that you had 16 channels set up, I assume you are running non LBT on your Taranis? Otherwise, how the heck did you get LUA Scripts working????

Great review. I have one and using it with a Jumper T12 Pro and Eachine VR007 Pro googles. You fly it so smoothly around the house, going under the table, etc, without hitting anything. How am i not able to do that! Are you using default rates/settings on the BF and the TX? Do i just need to keep practicing? (i did reduce rates in BF and put onto a switch on my TX, but still i'm not smoothly flying through things indoors or outdoors).
@robfs96404 жыл бұрын
Now i can fly i much better....I upgraded the 'stock' motors 0603 19000KV to Happymodel SE0802 19000KV (same as Mobula6 i believe). I did setup a new lower rates on a switch for finer control. I'm not sure if i damaged the original motor/s but it easier to control now. I can go through tiny gaps.....but not consistently but that's me...i'm still in training.... I tried it on 450mAH lipo on 0603 motors as well check my youtube.

Maybe they are to hold a big 4S battery. Just kidding, don't do that. I was told that people complained about the battery sliding out, and this was the remedy. I saw a better remedy of just putting a small amount of scotch tape on the battery to make it fit more snug.

Be interesting in the binding on EU-LBT firmware - on the UAR-65 it will only bind if you untick "EU" when downloading OpenTX, and only in D8 mode. That gives one way telemetry, so no lua scripts, so would be interested if this newer one will bind with D16. I can bind the with an IRX4+ module, but that doesn't give full telemetry either. Thanks
@AndyRCchannel6 жыл бұрын
only binds in d16 in FCC version. cheers

@@andyspoo2 uk/us65 has around 2:20_3:00 min flight time depending on the quality of your battery.

HELP! I have a Snapper7 on preorder as it was out of stock. I'm not in a rush but should I cancel that and get this instead?

Looks really nice compared to my Eachine E010S (supposedly has the raceflight brushed motors on it). You didn't mention what version of BF its running, but I'm assuming something recent, since it has all those features. Cheers!

One other thing I forgot to ask about this. I see that the USB port is underneath, aiming downward. Not sure how you can connect to it with a std. micro usb plug, unless you stand it up on some which would keep it level for the Gyro Cal. I think at one time I saw that you had a right angle USB adapter, which might be how you were able to set this up. This is the only drawback I see on this. I could see getting the US65 version of this and pitching my QX90, QX95 & E010S. Since my X9D+ is still running the old v2.0.9 FW, I don't think I can discover new sources in order to be able to use RSSI as featured here. I think the only quad that I have RSSI on with my X9D+ is my original ZMR250 which has a D4R-II ppm RX in it. Aaacccckkkkk!

Hi Andy, just received mine today all set up, but my rear left motor on arming sometimes spins fine. But sometimes just jitters and esc resets... any clue?
@AndyRCchannel6 жыл бұрын
hmm iv not seen that could be a fault. these motors do have a really low start up power you can try upping or lowering that in blheli. however if you cant get it sorted best to make a video and send to banggoods customer support. they are pretty good as long as you show the problem.
@hazzardoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
@@AndyRCchannel turned out to be a similar problem to the leader 120. Idle had to be upped even more to 8.5 or that motor didn't spin and on throttle it caused escs to reset. Like the leader and the stall and spin of death

@@JonathanHeavyside the ur65 is still a great model mate. Can I ask what flight times u get on the ur65? Because i just wanna know how much less battery life I would get with 19000kv motors on the uk65 vs the ur65!

why should the esc burn out at turtle mode? the escs can handle 6A each and you get max 5A out of the lipo?

if the props rapped around something like grass and is trying to turn when stuck. it will burn the esc up. I see It all the time.

but you can set in blheli current protection at 5A. why should them burn?
