I bought 4 more of these lights a few months ago when I found them under another brand. They’re normally $119 but currently have a $40 off coupon on Amazon so get ‘‘em while they’re hot! Best bang for buck tube lights on the market PERIOD. There’s a bunch of 1 ft tubes in the same price range that don’t have as full a feature set and the closest comparable 2 foot tube is over $200. These are an absolute steal.

Please share at 00:10 mark what tube light and/or rubber/silicon grid that is at the bottom?? Been looking for either grid of that same quality for tube lights or a tube light that comes with it but haven’t found any but u found one! Thanks in advance!

I believe the light you are talking about is the YC Onion Energy Tube RGB light. You can get them from places like Amazon or B&H however they don't come with the grid. You have to purchase those directly from YC Onion where they also have a fabric grid and a case as well. I believe their store is called YCONIONMALL.COM The grids may be available elsewhere but I can't be sure on that.

Nicely shot and presented. Thanks for putting this together with the details. Question about the graphic "Faster DC Charging" at 2:29, I'm guessing it's just from their marketing material...but what is it in comparison to? The earlier model? Shame about the lack of USB-C charging, as it would mean one less power brick to carry, but there are DC power packs with 12/15v output, so that's a workaround.

I appreciate the kind words! The time to charge was an estimation based off of standard USB 5v (obviously not PD) vs the 12v of DC plug in. I may be totally off base there as I am the first to admit I am not a electricity guru. But I did compare it to another tube light from another manufacturer that took roughly 30-40 minutes longer to charge from USB with a similar battery size. Again there may be much more that comes into play here than what I was thinking but it kind of made sense to me. That being said I totally agree with you and would have preferred to have had a USB C port as I often have a battery bank or two in my kit to make my lights last for longer shoots.
