I realized I said Rode Lav Go when I should have said Rode SmartLav + however the capsules are identical in those mics so the performance is as well.

Its the talking hands guy! Lavs get expensive quick, good to see a solid affordable solution.

I bought a really cheap budget lav Mike set by Konica, but to my surprise it had the nice locking mechanism so it didn't pull out of the Unit. Keith

Great video! Everything was perfectly explained, thanks you so much. I would like to start doing some content for KZbin, and I've been watching some videos in order to buy some stuff. By what you showed in this video, this mic seems like a solid option. However, I've seen the Boya M1 being recommended a lot too. Could you please tell me between that one and this XVive which one you'd chose?

I've actually used the Boya M1 before and can tell you that the audio quality of the LV1 is much much better than the Boya. So hands down I would go with the Xvive mic.

@@GeraldBertramPhotography Thank you! Could you also recommend any budget microphone for voiceovers or podcasting?
@GeraldBertramPhotography2 жыл бұрын
@@a.m.641 It really depends on your definition of "budget". For podcasting one of the best $100 mics is the Rode Podmic. I don't have a ton of experience with voice over work but in the budget range you could totally get away with using the PodMic or even something like a Deity V-mic. You just want to make sure the mic is nice and close and that you treat the space you are in. Hanging up some moving blankets around where you are recording is nice and cheap but still one of the best ways to increase the quality of your recordings.

I use the Zoom f2, and the included mic sounded like pure garbage, so I bought the $100 Rodelink lav, and while it sounds much better, the build quality is even worse than the Zoom. Definitely gonna throw this one in the cart in case the Rode dies on me.

How close to the 11D can you process this lav?

I'm like you I like nice audio without a lot of room bounce. I wouldn't say most people but a lot of people really don't give a darn about how it sounds as long as it's halfway decent. KK

@@GeraldBertramPhotography Hello I am not sure that I truly and heard a bad Lav Mic. Can you tell me if one that truly truly sounds bad ? I just cannot believe that a $300 mic Sounds a whole lot better than a $50 mic. Tell me truly you can hear the difference. Thanks. Keith
