As a kid I vividly recall watching the ALCS game with my beloved Orioles vs the Chicago White Sox, and that extra innings dinger by Tito Landrum.

I think it was best for him to retire, he sounded like a drunk dude slurring his words covering the ALDS

It is well known to Cleveland fans that Pena swung through the take sign on that HR. Definitely a good decision!

Bob's most legendary call is Michael Jordan's game winning shot to win the 98 NBA finals 🤣🤣 Glad he stopped doing NBA games, NBA has been unwatchable for a while now.

Every time he was announcing a MLB Network showcase game featuring either New York teams, I would avoid and bypass that game to get another game instead.

I love Bob in the studio and for interview shows. In the booth? Meh.

💯 on point Scrap Fish. Bob is arguably the best Studio Host/Panelist/Interviewer on American Sports TV. His knowledge on sports history especially MLB is unmatched. On Play by Play mainly MLB and ABA(yes he started his career calling the St Louis Sprit & Chicago Bulls games in the 1970s) before joining NBC he was good. However he was never an all time great Play by Play Commentator along the lines of Vince Scully, Ernie Harwell, Harry Kalas and even Al Michaels among fellow HOF MLB Broadcasters from the 1980s and 90s.

Bob Costas is corny and tries to make every game sound like Ken Burns documentary but like c'mon bro it's just a ground ball double play in March - it's not the culmination of a lifelong dream to become shortstop intertwined with traumatic childhood unfolding beautifully like a butterfly leaving a cocoon or whatever cheesy narrative he stuffs down your throat
