I think cosmo deserved at least an honorable mention. He has high enough numbers to impact the game from a power sense, but his effect just turns off so many strategies. Hela, nah dog, discard as a strategy, put those over there here they do nothing, destroyer’s best friend. Stops surfer in the right place. Protects big dudes from Shang chi. He’s just really good

I agree. I expected Cosmo would be Alexander's #1 the way he introduced it. But apparently, by "accessible" he didn't mean a series 2 card, he meant a card that was series 4 up until recently.

Cosmo and Armor have saved my ass more times than I can count. I feel like I can fit one or both of them in every deck I play. Also with so many locations screwing with my plans, Scarlet witch is also a good one to have as a just in case.

Yeah, but kang can be a problem card, he can be the card that wins you 8 cubes and the card that makes you retreat and only lose 1, im hoping he's good but not broken

Cosmo predictions on Kang could be pretty gnarly, though very hard to effectively pull off (Predicting it's a Kang deck, the lane it'll play into, having priority and if they'll play turn 5 or 6 (possibly sooner in ramp deck), plus not already having played Cosmo to prevent other plays is a LOT of variables against predicting a block). Essentially if you have priority and predict Kang's lane you've caused opponent to totally waste turn 5/6 for a 0 power play, which in vast majority of games should be guaranteed win/opponent retreat.

I'm surprised you didn't mention leech as a counter to the modok package. On turn 6 if I see a Dracula on board I'm always playing leech. It's also pretty good in Mr Negative decks.

Leech doesn't do anything to Drac if it's already on board

@@robertdunn582 Yeah, I should give more context. You should only Leech on turn 6 if you see a Dracula and your opponent has snapped. Usually they are counting on a big apocalypse finish in that situation and if you Leech him he gets discarded by Modok and Dracula stays at 0.

I can't believe you didn't mention Leech as a MODOK counter! You play Leech and they just discard their Swarm and Apoc! The decks also run Chavez so you know what they have on 6! It's a great counter!

Another thing with Kang is that since it goes in so many games, both players playing Kang will likely be a thing often? Does it restart both player's turns or does it not restart like Daredevil? If it doesn't restart, should you not play Kang if you're behind?

Magnito for me is the one that makes a big difference. Areo on five and him on 6 makes for a fun time or if you can make it turn 4 and ...so crazy

I had She-Hulk pinned at the end of the Surfer season, but I let her go because I was like CL 1300 and I needed to increase my collection. The first day She-Hulk was available at pool 3, I unlocked her in my Reserve. I went on a great run with her in my Surfer Girls deck and I ended up Vibranium for the first time after finishing Gold last season.

Kang and somewhat later Mephisto as permanent Series-5 candidate? While Mephisto clearly doubles your winning, Kang basically halves your losing by giving you a more informed retreat. These 2 cards truly feels like the contrast of each other.

Magik will forever live in my top 10. Location control, card draw, cost reduction, tempo control. She's like a little bit of Rhino, Warlock, Sera and Daredevil combined. And much like Wave, although the effect benefits both players, you can build your deck around it, while it often takes them off guard. She's not number 1 but she's defo in my top 10.

As always my favorite SNAP content (and hinestly gaming content) each week. I just bought Shuri from the shop and have to agree shes definitely a little busted and can make any deck just that much better by adding so much extra power to the deck (and she's straight up broken in any zero, ramp or any deck that likes to use fewer but more high powered cards in the later turns). Dropping Shuri then Red Skull followed by Taskmaster just feels loke cheating and if your opponent isn't running Shang Chi it's just GG 95% of the time

I have a doubt. Kang's text says "restart THE turn", not "restart YOUR turn". So...it will restart the hole turn, which means your opponent's turn too? Somebody knows 100% how it works? That "THE"...it's getting my mind crazy 😵😅

Ok so kind of situational but ghost is great with galactus and combine with the black bolt play and even works well against zabu/quinjet/death mechanic so here's what im thinking. Ramp galactus wave turn 3 black bolt on 4 to drop whatever is cost reduced galactus on 5 then ghost shang chi and stature on 6 for a 12 turn play and nothing can be Shang chid plus your Shang chi hits anything over 9 that they play. I think the math is right but thats heavy on pool 5 cards.

One solution for mindgame countering Kang players - Play pure RNG Agatha deck. If I don't even know what my play pattern is going to be from one turn to the next, no way will they be able to figure out what I'm (Moreso Agatha ig) going to do! Even if they see one possible turn 5/6 play, that was just random Agatha placement anyway and on a retry she'd still place totally randomly.

For me Wave doesn't need a nerf specifically BUT they HAVE to change her interaction with Death and She-Hulk. If it sets up the cost to 4 THEN MAKE IT SET THESE COSTS to 4.

Just build decks with all the different cards mentioned in the video. Galactus, Green Goblin, Debris, Devil Dino, Wave, She-Hulk, etc.

Patriot, Movement, Cerebro, Destruction(DeathWave), Ongoing (Destroyer), Dino Draw, Lockjaw Roulette, Full Control/Disruption, Hazmat/Luke Toxicity, KaZoo...among many other options and variations. Try making some decks/synergies with cards you like and form your own opinions, relying on other people to dictate what you use is a very poor and unreliable way to improve.

One issue with black bolt as an enabler of stature is you have to try to cheat him on the board because at 5-cost, stature will only cost 1 on turn 6 so you can only play a 5 cost on turn 6 with stature…unless I’m missing something about how this works

There are a few good 5+1 plays you can make. You can also moon knight. Run Magik, psylock. Oh man I already have a she hulk infinaut deck building itself as I am typing.

Definitely think galactus should be top ten. Aero is his only true counter since Cosmo can be a 50/50. He might not have the most consistent gameplan but certainly the most polarizing. Obviously this assuming you have knull since you win any power match up.
